Hello folks!  I've been in the garden all day!!! image  Well, all day apart from popping back here to see what's going on occasionally.

I've mowed and edged both the lawns, tidied lots of bits up, looked at lots of things and pondered, dug out a bucketful of dandelions from the front lawn with a daisy grubber - about 2 sq yds worth image, fed the back lawn with seaweed fertiliser, and some for the fig and various climbers and shrubs etc,, swept the terrace, tidied the hedgehog feeding stations,  sat and drunk coffee and looked at the pond a lot,  sat and drunk coffee and listened to the birds a lot, and pondered a lot more about places to plant things.

It's been lovely in the garden, overcast but mild - just how I like it image

Now OH is cooking Lamb Madras and Bombay Potatoes for the first time ever!!!!!! image

Remember I got a new aquarium a few weeks ago? Well, one of the fish is looking a bit peaky so decided to be brave and ask a question on a fishy forum. Guess what? Just got a telling off for changing the tank etc and no constructive advice. imageI'll just go with instinct and wait for him to stop sulking! So pleased the advice on here is helpful despite my silly mistakes.image thanks peeps.image

Not sure where to put arches 2&3, they don't look right where I'd planned, OH will be useful with this task.

Ol hope your day was lovely.

Verdun, looked at grasses, like both but is hordeum only an annual and are the seeds like the 'never again' rattle grass I planted last year, ie everywhere this year? Seen seeds for sale from Chiltern so may give them a try. T&M say sow feb to april so woul dit be worthwhile? Think I might have to start a thread so my grass fetish doesn't take over on here!

    Evening all.

Sounds like you have all been busy. Edd - you will have to take some photos of the finished furniture-sound intruiging!

Busy weekend for me. Plantaholics who specialise in Heuchera and Tiarellas had an open day over the weekend so popped down there and picked up a couple of plants for my new raised shaded border. I have also ordered a couple off plants for shade after recommendation on GW forum so looking forward to those arriving. Still need to paint the wood of the raised bed but looks like it won't be this weekend given the weather. I have just also ordered a couple of Agapanthus off a specialist nursery just now for my sunny border. Looks like i might be doing a lot of planting this weekend!!!
