Verdun, we had a similar 'scare' with Ma a while back, when she first started wearing incontinence pads - as she was wearing 'pads' but 'saw nothing regular' if you get my meaning, then that could only mean one thing image  Fortunately the staff are wonderful and were able to put her mind at ease and that phase passed. image   I hope you don't think I'm being heartless when I say I envy you your dear mother's swift passing ... Ma is/was such a private and proud person image

Runny - they email you a code which you then put in.  I'd try again if you've got the energy.  It's not a brilliant website & kept freezing and jumping about, but I was determined to get it to work...  image

  • Last year I 'installed' 5,1mtr by 1mtr raised beds, struggled to get any decent onions/shalotts but broad/runner beans were better. When digging over the beds they were full of roots from nearby Sycamore tree. I have raised the beds off the ground by using pallets and using compost bags to hold in the soil, bags punctured for drainage, I am concerned about compaction so would welcome advise on soil, compost etc.

Hello Duncan. I think you should start a new thread about your question. This thread is the chat thread, where gardening is hardly mentioned - except by Verdun, who is very keen image

Went to visit a chateau with daughter and grandchildren today, Castelnaud, they all enjoyed it. The views with the autumn leaves were lovely, but it was a bit misty and drizzly today.

Dove, you do look funny. I'm sure you were a very good mother.

  • Had a very nice surprise to cheer me up this evening - 2 guests checked in, lovely young (ish) men working in the area, (from Portugal) can they stay 3 nights - oh yes please, think Gleb and Giovanni, possibly Alijaz, all rolled into one (sorry if you don;t follow SCD), very polite, very friendly and extreeeemly good looking - better than looking at my podgy OH any day. Oops, did I really say that out loud? image

Hello Duncan, good luck with your responses, BL is right though a more serious thread will probably procure better responses. image

BL, glad you had a good day, shame about the weather, was like that all day here.

Going to have an early night now, need my beauty sleep, don't want to scare those boys at breakfast time.image

    Good night all. image
