Morning everyone. What are you all planning today? I've got various little jobs that need doing, so hope to get out there later. We had a very heany hail storm last night, so will be keen to get outside to see how everything in the garden got on. I've got seedlings of pumpkin to plant out in my new garden bed and have been slow to put gladioli out, so they need priority. There are also young dahlia plants to go into a new spot.
Shed roof looks good, no climbing and no nails broken I did, however, fall down when I popped out with my friend's daughter Luckily nothing broken, just my pride and the skin on my knee
I've been out and planted the pumpkins, transplanted some hollyhocks and gypsophila seedlings. Harvested some rhubarb, broccolini and chard. Making rhubarb jam. Thinking about putting some lazy housewife beans in a sheltered spot in case there is another cold snap. We got 10.5mm in last night's hail storm, so everything is very damp - easy to pull up some weeds. First rain for nearly a month. Still haven't planted the gladioli, but might get there yet.
Obviously feeling a bit more lively today. Yesterday's Gardening Australia (with dear little Costa) episode was focussed on mental health week and emphasised the benefits of getting out there if you're feeling down. It was just the incentive I needed. I'm so fed up with sitting inside feeling nauseous and the other side effects of gastric imbalance.
