I had a sore throat over the weekend, and now it has developed into a full blown cold and cough. I am alternating ibuprofen, covonia and benylin, with hot honey and lemon or my own blackcurrant syrup in hot water. Then I found that half a bottle of cab sav works better. I've got to get better soon, because we are due at a party on xmas eve, drinks and nibbles xmas day at my friends, followed by Roast beef at mums, and then boxing day for 20 at mums.
I wont be around much unless I opt out by pleading illness, so I wish you all a Happy Christmas, or whatever festival you follow at this time of year.
Right, I'm going to read back a bit and have a go at replying!
Hosta - good to hear you are repairable with arthroscopy!
FG - The fire was dreadful yesterday, I just hope they are insured. On the plus side, it will mean it gets rewired and new equipment (if it re-opens) and that will make my clinic safer...
Chicky - I knew I was being watched. Lower Farnham Road has been a bloody disaster for months now. Our clients couldn't come in for safety reasons yesterday for the first hour of our afternoon clinic because of the thick black smoke. Dreadful for them. Same as the poor vendors who worked out of Farnham Mill beside the Shepherd and Flock roundabout. What do you drive? I'll sit at the window!
Dove - your lobsters sound excellent. I shall send my other half round on Xmas day. Hope you all enjoy!
Verdun - I hope you can't see what I sometimes wear when I am posting here. (It isn't much!)
Sorry I can't manage to reply to everyone. Hope those that have been ill or have other halves who aren't so good, feel better soon and have a good Christmas.
Flynn has had diarrhoea for the last day, poor fella is bright apart from that but we've had a disturbed night. OH needs sleep to get over the dreadful cold he has and the upstairs toilet has stopped flushing so its looking like a shitty Christmas one way or another
Evening all, sorry for my tardiness. Had to spend most of the day in bed as my back 'went' suddenly whilst emptying the dishwasher of all things - my though teaspoons are heavy. Anyway, had to get up as have guests arriving and also had to finish knitting one final snowman gift. Nurofen has helped a lot as has lying flat all day, luckily Charlie is staying at a friend's - they have been to Limoges to see Star Wars so a sleepover was called for.
Pleased to see knee is fixable, shame they couldn't have worked that out a lot sooner for you Hosta.
WS hope Flynn recovers and Christmas can be saved.
Will try & read back properly tomorrow, must get back to bed now, breakfast to do in the morning - OH is going to the boulangerie for me though, might take a while for me to de-kink after a full nights sleep.
Sweet dreams all and probably good morning to Pat soon.
