Afternoon Pat - hope everything was ok at the doctors.
Morning to those still to arrive. Just about to go find some breakfast, and then I need to circumnavigate the M25 in rush hour ......feel like an intrepid explorer.
Glad to hear you got the all clear PatE, just steady away now back to full health.
Chicky hope you don't find the intrepid explorer progress too slow on that M25.
LilyP, a trip to Moscow sounds very exciting.
Liri, lovely pics. I do love autumn.
Had an e-mail from the previous owner of the house, I mentioned in passing a few weeks ago it would be great if she were here for my Open Garden Day next year - she has taken me seriously and accepted. I'm sure it will be marvellous, she was such an expert - but just another level of stress thrown in, me and my big mouth. She lives in UK so it won't just be an afternoon, she'll be here (staying) at least the week-end, a house and garden to be perfect. No pressure.
However, she lives in Paignton in Devon and has invited me to stay there in spring, a hop skip and a jump to Hosta's gaff from there, surely.
Right, very wet here so i*****g on the schedule.
Good day all.

Just heard from Wonky - sounds as if I'm likely to be needed there tomorrow to supervise workmen as she doesn't believe it's all going to be done today and Lovely Hub has to return to work tomorrow! Well, I did offer didn't I?
Better get my wotsit in gear today then ... things to do ... see you later folks!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Don't let yourself be stressed DD. I'm sure she'll be delighted you are looking after the garden. I expect she will be a help and won't expect perfection. I don't like other people's houses and garden to be perfect, makes me feel inadequate!
We are off to the UK, Ryanair, at lunchtime.
I went to a Garden Club meeting last night, there was an interesting talk about snowdrops. There are over 1500 varieties and some are very rare and expensive, collectors go mad for them! Then there was a quiz. I came tie first and will be getting Galanthus "Grumpy" as a prize, when it's the right time of year to pot it up.
