Evening all. Had a nice little walk after work and had my dinner (leftovers )- young Fairy cooked some bolognese for her and her sister. She did well, and older Fairy brought some fancy cakes home
What a glorious day it's been here too
You've all been very chatty - ovens not ovening, hedgehogs going awol, new duvets and pillows...and Hosta slumming it with Merlot...
Do you really replace yours twice a year RB?
Glad the flitting went well Dove. Do you use that expression? I love painting too but it's a bit far for me to go with a roller.... I'm a bit pernickerty too...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
fairygirl, I'm glad it's not just me who was , erm , shocked at the twice yearly duvet replacement. We make ours last about 2 years, although I hasten to add we do wash the bedlinen between times.
Gosh, am I a grubby person? I don't replace my duvets every year. I have 3, summer, winter and in between, each several years old. I do change the covers of course.
Don't think I've been here today, been busy cleaning 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and making up beds for the children and grandchildren's arrival, but I did make a start yesterday. Son and daughter coming tomorrow evening and other daughter on Saturday. Son 2's baby son being christened on Sunday, followed by meal in posh hotel. Also did shopping this morning.
A box full of plug plants arrived this morning. I've unwrapped them but will have to pot them on tomorrow. Hope to have lots of violas, polyanthus, double daisies and forget-me-nots for my Open Garden day in early May.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Lesley, I have shelves full of old GW magazines as well. But I don't think I've looked at them again. They are too beautiful to throw away, I'm not very good at throwing things away, there is a wardrobe full of clothes I'm now too fat for in a spare room.
