Its massive SGL whole footprint of entire town house, stairs down and a wide galley corridor at the bottom then narrow room in front of stairs with window onto larger room and another large room next to it. Luckily when they installed the central heating a few years ago they put a radiator in the back room, it has an open fire in it also which we are using to help dry out!
Hubby is a DJ so so one room will be his soundproofed recording studio, next to that will be a snug and probably just storage for the rest! snug will be the room with the open fire!
Its going to take a lot of weekends and evenings work that's for sure! But a fun project!
Oh wow Wonky, sounds brilliant. As jo says, great project and character. Love the idea of a snug with open fire. Just the place to curl up with a good book and a drink of.........well what ever takes your fancy lol look forward to pics in progress.
Took nearly three hours to get home though - -roadworks. Two hours before I could even get off the road and come back a different way. Should only take just over an hour
Had a good day. The boots are giving me a strange problem - the collar of the right one is digging in above the ankle bone. Had it on Wyvis on their first outing, and never had that problem with a boot before. It's the reason I went where I did today and not to Glen Etive - -easy to drop down if you have issues . Other than that they're great.
That's a big project WW - we'll keep you going if you get jaded
I recorded the tennis - the Murrays are 'mint'....that's a Verdun-y joke
Was tempted to grab the one remaining ticket yesterday and go - it was £50. I looked at the price of the tickets a few weeks ago - I'd have to have sold one of the children. They started at about £700/800 !
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Pat E, thanks for the weather report - not too sure am going to enjoy steamy weather, hot flushes are a pain. But my sister has air conditioning, thank heavens.
SGL, I know I can trust my husband to look after himself and all his chickens, but he's a beginner in the garden, that's why I'm worried.
RB, I'm hoping for lots of pictures, we are going to Garden Festivals and Shows, a Planetarium, Botanic Gardens and Bird World, two days' Whale watching and a Quilt Show.
Oh, and the Rugby World Cup is on as well - but I might opt out of watching that, having just seen Japan (Japan!!!) beat South Africa. How could that happen!
007 - I know s*d all about rugby, but even I know that's weird!
Sounds like you'll have a great trip - hope the weather's favourable for you
Susan - Glen Etive's glorious. I only have Starav to do there with the other two linked to it, but no chance of an easy exit if you have a problem so I'll keep those for another day. Tremendous views across to Glencoe and the two 'Bookils' from the hills there
I've had a shower and another cup of tea. 'Dinner' consisted of two Pains au Chocolat....

Ex hubby and I went to the Lake District once and the bed had bri nylon sheets. We were scared to move in case we created sparks and set the place on fire
...and stop making up your own jokes
Glad you enjoy my tales - I'm always worried that I'll bore you all They had a big event on there today - three different walks (or you could cycle or run ) raising money for a local hospice. Very impressive. Walked a bit with a youngish girl who was really struggling up one of the hills. Easy to underestimate how hard the ascents are if you're not used to hills. Hope she got back ok.

You have been working hard Wonky. Looks a good size, have you decided what you are going to use it for?

Wonky that's the kind of place I dreamt of when younger (a lot younger). Good luck. You'll be so delighted with it and have met so many good friends

Fairygirl, you sound like you're emulating verdun with his carbs consumption.
Only had a couple of bananas and a gluten free grain bar on the hills. Some oatcakes in the traffic jam ...
....am I justifying the pastries?
