  • Good morning you early risers - and those to follow. imageimage

Lovely morning but definitely cooler starts than we have been used to, a change of season imminent. All the kids go back to school here next week and everyone else back to work, la rentrée, and there is a certain amount of frenzy about the whole thing, shops full of school stuff and lots of advertising about it all.

Hope your cold doesn't effect you too badly WW and you manage to last the day.

    Catch you all later. image

Just googled GWRS, and must say I am none the wiserimage - do they parade, or just hang out together?? Let us know how the day unfoldsimage

have woken up to more rain (thought yesterday's was meant to be the last of it, but obviously the  weather makers had other plansimage).  In the end, the prospect of a full week at work overwhelmed me, and I have taken the day off to go "uni" shopping with Chicklet.  This involves a trip to the yellow and blue store, plus no doubt some essential clothes shops.  We're making a day of it, with littlest chicklet coming too.

Glad you had a good time with your cousins Dove, that Wonky's cold is kept at bay with the coffee, that lemon drizzle cake goes down well, that Hosta has a good trip home to the motherland, and that Clari's funds eventually appear .....

Have a good day shopping chicky - it might be more tiring than workimage.

Please save a piece of that lemon drizzle cake Fairyimage.  Pat I'm glad your scales are smiling.  Mine laugh but I don't know whyimage.

I think you'll need plenty of coffee to stay awake till that time Clariimage

Time to give them a nudge and drag them into the 21st century, Clarington. Most people pay by BACS these days. Practically instantaneous. Apart from one person I work for, who likes to pay me in cash to save him having to bank it. When I take it to the bank, they look at me as if I have been working on street corners. I think I prefer snotty clothes shop assistants who treat me like a bag lady. Amazingly, if I go shopping directly from work, in a suit, they can't fall over themselves fast enough.

    Morning all.

    Cold and blowy here today.

Have the MIL arriving for the weekend, so I have been tasked with tidying up the house, despite my protestations that my bad back would prevent this.

It is going to be a long day.

Runny I have replied to your PM.

    Have a good day.

Househunting guests are staying an extra night as they haven't yet found their perfect home. Given their list of essentials (including all houses in the neighbourhood to be in pristine condition - rural France not known for such things) I think they might be searching for a while yet. Feel a bit sorry for the wife as the OH has definitely got a touch of OCD, he wouldn't/couldn't bring the car up to the driveway because of the bumpy path, afriad it might damage it. They are a lovely couple though I and I do hope they find their dream home. image

This afternoon I am going Acro-branching, Charlie went yesterday with holiday club and is adamant I will love it too - not convinced but prepared to have a go, they have got an ice-cream shop next to it. image

Hope the house work isn't too taxing Pdoc, steady away. image

LilyP, just googled acro-branching and it's all zip wires and thingsimage.  My initial thought was water diviningimage.  Don't need a branch to find water at the momentimage.  Glad the Moscovites will be visiting soonimage.

Have fun DD and have the ice-cream afterwards, not beforeimage.
