Went for a walk through the woods this afternoon, rather chilly but feel better for the fresh air.

Hope you've all had a good day, time for a cuppa

  • Evening forkers

That sounds great Verdun nice plant to get

Frosty ground here today also ice in trays of water, was so sunny out I have been cutting the rose down a bit as getting a bit tall and the wind keeps blowing it to the back door window.

Watching the birds outside today flying around

Had a trip up the road to the train station today and bad news some one has stolen our waterbutt stand and emptied out the water from the waterbutt - that is so disappointing

Gardengirl - what a menace, and what an utterly pointless theft.  Don't suppose the station has CCTV?

  • It has CCTV but not sure it is facing the waterbutt more on the shelters and it was some when in the week as not been there since last Sunday not sure they would watch through that much CCTV to find it, if it does get picked up.

Will email main volunteer man to let him know and see if they can check with the CCTV anyway

  • Hello folks - home now from a 90 mile round trip visiting Pa and then Ma - hopefully Pa will be back at The Lovely Home some time tomorrow image

Just had upset daughter on the phone - their much-loved pusscat is poorly - went to the emergency vet today and spent £150 on scan and painkillers - local vet tomorrow for bloodtests image

Gg - what sods some people are image

Apart from that nasty bit of news, hope the rest of you have all had a good day - we're shattered so are going to put our feet up with a glass of something encouraging image

  • So sorry Gg, not the way to end the year after all your hard work .

GG that's awful!! Why are people so selfish?

I realised that come autumn next year the meal I cooked tonight (Shepherds pie concoction) /may/ contain all my own grown vegetables!

In other gardening news I've had to kerb my pond ideas into a much simpler design after realising that I could buy a new kitchen with the budget image

  • Had to fill the waterbutt up with saved waterbutt water from at home in plastic bottles a bit about 50ltr and tighten up the wire around it just in case they try to steal the waterbutt as well weigh it down a bit
