Have had to cut back my Echinops as they have got humungous but there is a lot of new growth underneath so might just get a second lot. I do like it but it does get a bit over enthusiastic.
Dahlias are a bit rageddy too, I must get better at staking, they just seem to go from nothing to great lolloping things. Next year (I did say that last year) I am going to put the stakes in first - honest.
Well done Panda on being chosen for an interview, the ball is in your court now, show them what you're made of.
Jo, very sorry to hear about your friend, fingers crossed.
Right off to load up the trailer, OH has volunteered (??) to go to the tip with my mess, whilst I make some more.
“Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?” —Betsy Cañas Garmon
BM are you kidding? I was out of there before you could say " Jack Rabbit"
(who was Jack Rabbit?)
Panda, fingers crossed sounds good
Lesley K hope your gang and folks all well
Chucking it down, just made loads of sun(oven) dried tomatoes for the cupboard and a big fish pie.
Now off to knit some teddies Anyone in Scotland looking for a reason to knit? I try to help knit for memory boxes for little ones who come into this world sleeping. Always desperate for new knitters!

Sorry to hear your friends news Jo, good she has such a positive and entertaining friend in you to ease her through her troubles I work with epilepsy sufferers and it can be debilitating however I also know people that have got through them and been seizure free for years and years, best wishes to you both!
Panda! Well done girl! BL**day good news! Good luck sunshine!
Snoodle, Dove often offloads her snails in plantpots to mine also! Me thinks sabotage! ....not to worry....I returned the favor by gifting her some ground elder!

Good afternoon all

Jo, so sorry to hear about your friend. Sad news - hope she gets through it.
Punkdoc, yes, clearly boredom has set in. My tax return usually doesn't get sent in until January...
Not a bad day here but no gardening has been done. Got a swollen foot after gardening in sandals on Sunday (that'll teach me!), when something (ant perhaps?) bit me on the big toe. Now I can't get a shoe on... and the oral antihistamines are making me dopey. (Not that my OH can tell the difference from normal, apparently... )
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Gotta dash we have some sun and Guinea pigs need putting back in their hutch, wish me luck catching them in their Summer house ( Wendy house !! ) I hope my back can stand the climbing in and out and I hope I don't drop one
Greek salad tonight so no doubt temps will drop and it will rain
Good luck KEF -we had one (g pig) in a little playhouse. They're quite robust if you drop them....
jo - puts a lot of things into perspective. I don't take my own (relatively good) health for granted. I know how fortunate I am.
Panda - great news - hope it goes well for you
Cake for me please Frit - I have a nice cuppa here just crying out for some
Had to re read your post Lesley - thought you said LP was 'kilted up' - perhaps she was though....
Typical - the heavy morning rain eventually went off here in the afternoon. I get home from work and the heavens open It feels like we might get a thunderplump, as my mum used to call it
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
