Pdoc I've been to your house and it isn't easy to tell whose windows are whose. Maybe you neighbour has annoyed some one else and it was meant for him not you
We once came home from holiday and neighbour had washed egg from our bay window with the hose pipe turned out the lad next door had dumped his girlfriend and she'd enlisted friends who bombed the wrong house .
So pathetic .......
That sounds like a very likely explanation KEF

Thank you for all your kind messages. At first I felt I was being disloyal to my old dog but so glad now that my family encouraged me to get a pup.
How sad to have nasty neighbours and even worst to take revenge on the wrong people. There was a terrible case in Truro lately when a man opened his door and had acid thrown in his face with devastating results. It turned out to be a hit man who had got the wrong house.
So sorry to hear about your dog Pam - huge hole when they leave us. A new puppy to care for is something to look forward to - and enjoying him or her doesn't diminish the love you had for your old pet
And I'm also really sorry to hear about P'docs problem. That sounds a little more serious than the seething but silent resentment / not-talking stand offs I had with a previous neighbour. At the very least you should log the details of the event & take photos so that, if this does escalate, you are able to present a record of the harassment. I don't know what started all this off but is it worth trying to find a peaceful, diplomatic solution (even if it is a rather uneasy truce)?
You could go round & accuse your neighbour of vandalising your property but I would be more inclined to say that your OH has been very upset by the incident and you wondered if they had experienced any similar problems / did they see anybody hanging about who might have done it etc as you are considering calling the police to report the matter. Might make them think twice before repeating the exercise...
Had a lovely quick trip into Norwich - got quite a few things crossed off my shopping list. Then went for a lovely lunch - it is so good to catch up with old friends. Food wasn't as good as the last time we went and the service was a little - erm - disorganised - is a nice way to put it. Got the impression they were training several members of staff both front & back of house at the same time.
Dove - I'm still in September with my Archers podcasts (Henry started school a few days ago!) - so I'm not up to date with the story line (big pile of ironing waiting - that will see me through a good few episodes) - but that Rob T has been on my hit list for a very long time.... He is a very nasty piece of work & I think his character has been really well written. Just love The Archers
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
We went to Green Pastures Dove - just off the A146 near Bergh Apton. Only a small to medium size selection of plants - but at least it is plants (mainly shrubs at the moment) & not scented candles etc.
If you haven't been it's worth a look. Bought some plants earlier in the year which were in nice condition. There is also a small farm shop there and a cafe / restaurant which has won 'Best norfolk Restaurant' award.
Went at the beginning of October and the food really was excellent - the seafood platter was huge & featured loads of stuff from Pinneys smokehouse (Orford).
This time is was a little disappointing but (as I said before) I got the impression that there were staffing issues. Will definitely give it another try tho' - might try afternoon tea in the spring.
It took us 7 hours in total. Not helped by OH's insistence we came off the M25 to visit a Chinese supermarket only to find they're run out of what he wanted.
Beer in hand and the heating is on. Pretty chilly here compared to my Sis's house which is really , really toasty.
Punkdoc, I'm with others. Tread carefully and don't do anything hasty. I too would suggest keeping a diary of events and I'd certainly get the police " in the loop" even if it's only a community support officer.
Sorry about your dog Pam.
Photos of the new pup will give us all something to OOOO and AAAAA over.
Lyn. let's get together before we head to Cape Verde. A trip to Rosemoor to play with my new camera??

Hope everyone has a peaceful evening.
Feeling more myself now - going into the kitchen to make red onion soda bread and pea and ham soup for supper ...
Am I having a 'blonde' moment or did you say that yesterday?
Not a 'blonde' moment Lyn, that was the plan for yesterday but it got postponed as I felt poorly - OH found fish curry in the freezer for yesterday
Pam, I'm really sorry about your old dog
, but wish you much joy with your new one - we shall expect photos and a progress report you know

Welcome back Hosta.
Ooh Topbird, we must visit that nursery when we have our cottage. But of a drive but quite do-able. Cottage is south west of Norwich.
I've spent most of the afternoon cutting back stuff in the long border. Been a nice day.
