Hi everyone!  Commiserations to all you sufferers out there - back, knee, shingles, bruises, itches and all...  Hoping for good news soon.  image

Would you believe it?  We walked to the garden centre this morning (in lovely weather - gorgeous walk over the hills, then back along the canal) and I DIDN'T BUY A SINGLE PLANT.  Must be unwell too, i think...  image  We needed ant killer, to rescue the tiny saxifrages under which the ants had nested, and enjoyed looking at the displays celebrating the garden centre's 70th anniversary, including a beautiful Jowett van used for deliveries in the 1950s.  It got late so we ended up having lunch in the cafe too.  image  And got home just before the rain started...

Watched the athletics highlights (thanks for the heads-up, folks!) and now we're watching a lovely programme about owls.  image

I've just been watching the owls too Liri. Wasn't it great? They are just the most beautiful birds. You had a lovely day image

Off for an early night - see you all tomorrow image

Dove, hope your cousin T and family have recovered from their awful experience in the Tassie bushfires and that they enjoy their visit.  It'll be a great change for them to see all those lovely rolling GREEN hills and valleys.

still overcast here this morning, and looks rainy/misty over the valley.  We've got a little wallaby outside the window today - very shy, so don't want to poke the camera through the curtains. She's very pretty, with rusty coloured ruff over shoulders. image

    Good morning.image

Rain should be cleared by around 10.00. Then hopefully the next 5 days don't look too bad, just some intermittent rain here and there, but mainly dry.image

Was working last night and will be for the next four evenings and then free over the weekend. Hopefully will be able to get the lawns cut, will soon  be enough grass out there for the cows to graze.

Hope you all have a good day.image

    Morning all image

Wet here. I looked at the longer range forecast briefly for the hill for the weekend. At the moment it looks very unpleasant black skies, rain and thunder! I may not go anywhere ...image

Perhaps I should have cut the grass last night. image

Jo - you're having particularly bad weather just now - hope you're all ok

Off to work in a moment or five so I'll catch up later. image
