Thanks for the warm welcome back. All washing done, dried and put away, sil came for lunch, SM, cooking for freezer, taxiing duties etc etc and the only flipping thing done in the garden was watering the pots. Hope to get some much needed weeding done tomorrow.
Your walk sounded idyllic Dove. Please save me a bit of the future pie or crumble.
Hope you got your ice-cream Rb (and remembered lily's)
I'd love to visit Wisley one day - enjoy it Scroggin
Still not fully caught up - maybe the forum will be my bedtime reading tonight.
All this talk about visiting Wisley has made me think about my horticulture teacher (years ago). She was from the UK and was very strict about learning the botanical names and we were regularly tested with 10 milk bottles with cuttings of plants in. We had to write the names down and for every spelling mistake she took a quarter point off and for incorrect names a whole point! Sadly, when I bumped into a fellow student a couple of years ago, I was told that Doreen had developed some kind of dementia and was in care. Sorry to be so glum, but it really got to me that she had been so sharp and then all lost. The reason I thought of Wisley was that she often referred to the White garden. I've, of course, seen it many times on various garden shows but I always give her a fond thought.
Dry here - again - so off on my travels. Did lots outside in the sun yesterday till 8pm and then dinner and bed. I know how to live ...
Hope all the forkers enjoy their day at Wisley.
At least you're not talking about your plums today Steve. I enjoyed your little innuendo yesterday - reminded me of what we say up here about going up the Drumochter Pass....
Enjoy the cricket Verd, doc and Woody (is Woody away, not seen him?) Lets hope they don't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory
Toodle pip, catch you all later. Have a great day
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Not sure what today will bring - probably a modicum of vacuuming and a trip to the farm shop, some watering and feeding and dead-heading, and perhaps a chinese takeaway ........
Enjoy Wisley everyone - perhaps all forkers should wear a buttonhole so they can wave at other forkers wearing buttonholes
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Susan - the blackberries are in the freezer for the moment, but they're likely to turn into a blackberry and apple pie or crumble before long
We're very lucky living here - just outside the city and yet in the heart of the Norfolk Broads
Enjoy Wisley tomorrow Scroggin

Himself suggested Wisley in the morning. I am afeared it will be too sunny for my useless vampiric skin!
Morning anyone who's around and those to come
