Thanks Jo. My garden has wild flowers in it too. I often prefer them to the over-bred, inelegant cabbagey doubles. Tulips especially - love Tulipa sylvestris in dappled shade.
MUST go and start the HWK
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
GWRS i can recommend quite a few malts for you to try. Don't save them for the autum tho nothing better than after a hard day sitting on the garden bench looking over the garden with a talisker in my hand. If i can get my computer at home up and running i'll post my holiday pics. I always travel in Scotland and seem to always end up somewhere near a distillery
Thanks to all for kind comments! Hard luck with the weather on Skye, Dove; we first stayed in our cottage 27 years ago, for 3 weeks, and all but 3 days looked like your photo... but we loved it so much we've been going ever since.
Better do some more hoovering... though first, can anyone identify this butterfly, please? Also seen on the little island. Marsh fritillary was a local suggestion, but it's got more white on it than my book shows:

Hi doc - great to have you back! Can you give me the details of where you were staying - I'm thinking of going there to get warmed up....
Still not in double figures here
Lovely pix Liri - I took a pic of those hills from 'the other side' on Saturday. The Dalmally Horseshoe. A great walk. Nut or landgirl will know which butterfly that is.
GWRS - Glen Fyne is where you should start. The distillery is just before the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, and you can catch some great scenery on the way. Don't come today - it looks more like Dove's pic
Hope the TWIGS are getting better weather for their trip
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thanks Chicky.
I can hear him saying it now I think about it...

Beautiful photos Liri
We once spent Midsummer Week on Skye - I was hoping for views like yours but most of the time it was like this
However the day we spent here http://www.isleofskye.com/activities/boat-trips/340-dunvegan-seal-boat-trips made up for all the rain!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Great photos. Keep them coming please.
Dove, found the Bressingham site, thanks. Will read it in more detail later.
Only ever been to Edinburgh , always wanted to go around the Highlands & Isles , perhaps one day
And do rather like drop of Malt particularly in the Atumn / Winter seems to give you an inner warmth
