Back from shopping in town plus the big GC. Felt like a pack mule again, can't wait to be driving
Bought some more of the same plants I already have because I have no patience to wait until I propagate but also, will need plenty more when I do. Also picked up 3 purple sedum. Always wanted this plant and have some gaps in middle garden so...
Today has been sort of fiddly, haven't really got stuck into anything, but nearly everything has had a good water and I've dealt with letters, emails and phone calls.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Ma was well, thanks - confused but happy Apparently Pa is younger than he used to be and goes out with his friends a lot
It's been 28.9C here today and isn't much lower now. Sprinkler has been on the veggie beds, now it's on the Wilderness, then I'll put the soaker hoze on the Shady Bank for the evening.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Had you been at the rum ration toasting a fond farewell last night Edd? Some of your posts were a tad ... you know Good luck with customs & hope you have a lovely trip.
Glad Ma is happy Dove - must be difficult at times for you when she's talking about Pa still being around - but much better than her being distressed at her loss.
Hope everyone else has had a nice day - lunches out & pamperings. Had to get my ear 'irrigated' at lunchtime - have been feeling a bit dizzy on & off all afternoon but better now & still managed to make a vat of bolognese sauce and do the ironing.
Off to sit in the garden with a G&T and my book now & watch the new sprinkler at work
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Can see pic now thanks Edd - it looks beautiful - just like one we saw in the bay down at Coverack a couple of years ago - lovely - but I don't envy you - I get very very seasick
