Batten down those hatches over in the west - I understand it's coming our way later - as long as I've picked up Gertie the Goose before it gets here we'll be fine - we've got plenty of food - if it gets too bad down there Verdun, just tow that cabin up here - enough gammon, goose and gossip here to last all the Forkers for a fortnight Just bring your own chocolates - we've not got any - I prefer cheese to chocolate and we've got lots of that
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Went to GC yesterday very wet and windy then, got some tree ties and a great book can't quite remember what name of it something like eco garden burton and ball book, came away with no plants but a discount voucher for Hilliers in January so will get plants then - found a nice yellow dogwood may get - I do like it.
You are all so busy. All I have done today is walk round the garden, watch my football team win on tele and have a nice steak with a bottle of Bordeaux for tea. Am now looking for the chocs. but OH has hidden them till Christmas when we are away and that will mean I have to share them.
After todays heron we had a small flock of Redwings eating the berries on the Yew tree which was fab.
By the sound of it tomorrow is going to be terrible so please all stay safe.
