Just been to pock up my new glasses after taking them back to have the lenses changed. I couldn't read in them which kind of defeated the object. Much better now.

Hello all. Back from the mines - not getting any quieter... It would help if people didn't phone on a Thursday wanting their rosettes for the weekend, because they're so b****y disorganised, and when we knock ourselves out to get them ready and phone them to say they're ready they tell us they've cancelled the show because of the weather....

Hi All, Nice day here, bit of cloud, bit of sun. Done a bit of gardening today and had to pop to Merry Hell to take a few things back from my online shopping spree.
Off to get my eyebrows sorted and lashes tinted ready for the hols, only 1 and half sleeps, as my grandaughter keeps telling me.

We are off to our local campsite in Danbury, called Riffhams The only amenities are running water No showers and toilets We will be using 'portaloos' No leccy either it's what we call real camping Weather looks good for the weekend too

Verdun, are u about? I posted a question about my Acanthus. It's growing lots of healthy leaves but no flowers, anything I can do to encourage it to flower or am I being a bit impatient (again).
Panda if any of your guides are like my niece was when she was younger you will find they have packed a hairdryer. That was despite knowing there was no power.
Sounds as though you're ready for the weekend Fairy. Any walking planned for tomorrow as the weather doesn't look great?
Yvie I know nothing about acanthus but I would say you're being impatient.

Hello emptied 2 sacks of potatoes and found 5 nice ones to enter in village show
Having another cup of coffee then up to allottment to deposit used potting compost on one of the beds that need improvement
a little bit windy otherwise a nice day , one very little shower , but rained over night , perfect for garden , getting into the site
