Never thought of it that way - cross planet eh!  Sounds like we are in outer space. I wonder how long it'll be before we can chat to astronaughts. Can't get the spelling right, darn it.

I've been a very, very busy girl - pulling out weeds, moving self seeded Nigella and Cosmos from the veggie beds to flower beds and took some cuttings from a Grevillea which Hubby is convinced is getting past it. (im not convinced it'll work - they don't like to be interferred with, but it's done now. ). Anything for peace.

Found a stick insect on the day Lilly which is starting to throw up some buds. Cleverly evaded protective ants while grabbing deep rooted weeds and shoving the hose right down near the roots so the weeds would let go. Tricky timing required, those ants hurt. They are about 1cm long.

I dragged hoses all over the place to water plants and now it looks like it might rain. Typical!  Must be time for a sit down and a cuppa.  (12.15)  I hope everyone had a good sleep.

    Afternoon Pat, morning allimage

I'm up, but only just.  it's harder to get up when it's dark and cold.  You've had a busy day so farimage.  I don't like the sound of those ants.  When I was young we lived in Nigeria for four years and the army ants there were things to be feared.  They once marched through next door's chicken run and all that was left was bones and feathersimage.  Sorry folks, not the best story to start the dayimage.

    Love your helicopter story Hostaimage.

Good morning everyone image  G'day Pat image  Those are BIG ants!

I've had a bit of a sleep in - hope Hosta's having one too.

As I woke I found I was pondering on moving my Sum & Substance and Blue Angel hostas - I think the S&S need more sun to improve their colour ... I think the move will have to wait until we've got the tree down and the new bed dug, then we'll know what options we have for moving them ...
