Small child knocked off a dahlia branch yesterday and I didn't even strangle him! His father said its OK, wonky has lots of other flowers, she's not angry!... like hell she isn't!!!!!!!! I'm never ever having children unless they are cut into small pieces, and threaded on a skewer with button mushroom, cherry tomatoes and a nice marinade!!!!
No need to start knitting booties anytime soon Dove!
Afternoon In for a bit of heat respite OH has the tennis on so don't mind
Gg. your station garden looks great Shows your hard work off nicely
P'doc, have a lovely time in the Artic Like others I am sure your special skills will come back if they are needed - you will be in autopilot and only after will you think Wow! I am sure they won't be needed though
Good luck Woody I am sure the prizes will all go to you. . . . it's a good day for prizes on the forum
Wonky, I remember a child beheading my prize (well only prize to me) alliums- how he kept his head I'll never know but he's not been back since!
Good luck Woody. Nice pics gg.
Verdun, be a luv and have a look at the pics for ID on my remember thread would you?
Done a bit in the garden, cut down some flowered bits from philadelphus, also hodeum grass cos even though it still looks nice it speads like mad, and now shows off the other grasses better. Going to have chocolate cosmos, Mrs Bradshaw germ and that blue spire thing with the feather bed when I can split n rearrange them...plans, plans...
Hello all. Congrats WW - always lovely to have your hard work recognised. Don't party too hard....
I don't understand parents who think it's ok for their precious offspring to damage other people's property with no consequences. My two would have had a rocket for it - whether it was mine or anyone else's stuff they'd damaged.
Had a good day walking - although it would have been better if I'd realised I'd done the hill before.... Stupid old bat
May get out again tomorrow if the weather's favourable. Widdling down here just now.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Afternoon all. Congratulations on your prize Wonky! (I wont start on the small children rant owing to the many many rants bubbling away under the surface when parents watch small people doing their best to vandalise museum exhibits...)
Home alone today (well, with the dog) as his lordship is at a friends wedding. I thought it odd I wasn't invited, spent evenings wondering why other friends were taking their partners who the happy couple barely know and I'd been blacklisted.
Proper deep thinks cutting deep kind of thing.
Turns out I was invited all along: his lordship just decided not to share that bit with me. Of course he told me that as his lift arrived (friends who were telling me what a great day I was going to miss) he walked out the door. I'm so glad that his lordship made a big fuss about me having today off work when it seems his only reasoning behind it was so that I could do all the housework and keep the dog company. I missed out on some really important events today as well that could have opened several doors of opportunity.
Not feeling loved today! To be truthful his reaction tonight may result in a trip to a&e to remove an engagement ring from his groin (which at least means I can stop saving for a wedding and go on holiday).
Still I've dismantled the chicken coop that after a year of waiting I'm taking the hint that he doesn't actually want to build me the run: no point it sat there getting damaged for nothing and tried to hack the garden as best you can when there's a dog insistent on helping. I wouldn't mind but he wont even just dig in one area so I can plant it back up.
Mrs G.have fun at the plant fair! His family are over tomorrow else I'd be there but I'm afraid they can't physically climb into my truck and I'm not driving his Lordships boring old thing.

Clari - if I was you I'd bugger off tomorrow somewhere nice and let him deal with his family by himself. A big hug from me to you.
Just had a pain au choc - would you like one?
