I finished work early today so where else to go but GC? Hard life really. Thought I'd get some mint to go with a gift for a friends favour ( the gift was Pimms, cucumber, strawbs, etc). Forgot the mint and had to go to supermarket later! However I came away with Bowles mauve (wanted it for years, but not bought - and still don't know where it's going!), chocolate cosmos (cos it seemed the right thing to do), a pretty lavender with blue stoeches bits, a cute but neglected looking leontopodium edelweis, and a lobelia cardinal is (well it was only £1.39)!
BIG hugs and good wishes to PUNKDOC! Just remember the medical bible says Pimms all the way, patients and professionals alike! Never mind the 'responsible' bit just work on the enjoyment bit!
All the best Pdoc. We'll be thinking of you and your amazing adventure.
Nice present MrsG and lots of really nice presents for yourself.
Glad Miss M lived up to expectations Yvie. You'll just have to go again.
LilyP you mentioned your spirits lifting on the way home. Mine sank as I reached the Welcome to Scotland sign and it started raining. However by the time Imgot home it was sunny again and all the washing's dry. It is good to be home.
Panda forgot to mention your succulent cuppa. It looks great.
Enjoyed the tennis this afternoon even though the result was not quite what I wanted. Brilliant play from both
Enjoyed the tennis but wish the Murray / Fedderer match could have gone on a bit longer. The score didn't really reflect the quality of the play.
Still, it's always a good afternoon when Roger feels the need to change his shirt on court
Very best wishes to you Pdoc. How long are you going for? I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip and have lots of tales to tell when you return. Don't forget your camera!!!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Off to bed soon as I'm up at silly o'clock to walk. Tennis was amazing though not the result I wanted either. Incredible play on both sides of the net.
Enjoy tomorrow everyone - I'll catch up on Sunday - tennis permitting
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
That Lobelia will need a moist site mrsG , it died In my dustbowl garden
And the rest of those plants look lovely, I especially like the cosmos, it's huge compared to mine
Poor Lesley, I wish we had rain in the south, it's dry as a bone down here, any rain we do get is never enough, I spend a lot of day lugging a watering can around the place
Guess it's my own fault for planting too many new things this year, but it's rewarding, got my Clematis Warszawska nike flowering now, such a pretty thing
