Glad to hear bekkie's doing great and everyone's had a productive day
I've had no time to myself today but did manage several hours of gardening early this morning in which I pruned some spirea and also several large clumps of Sisyrinchium. I thought I'd experiment by pruning after flowers on the Sisy to see if I get less dead growth next spring or if it makes any difference at all.
So I now have two new gaps in sunny borders and no idea what to plant but I have so many propagated plants and more to do yet, that I don't know what space I have at all
Also my cannas are growing like the clappers, first year I've ever grown them and also my climbing roses which is lovely to see
Edd, you were up late! Well, anyway, morning all, showing 12d when I went outside, thought brer, but it was lovelly, out today to watering, etc., early. Lovelly to met up with sanj67 yesterday, especially as she said she loved the garden AND that she thought I looked a lot younger than my years, God she is only 2 years older than my oldest Daughter, ah, mind, she did put her glasses on afterwards! Looking forward to having a peek at her garden. Got the scoop, saw to big fat black slugs underneath the bird table, thought Ill pop them in the compost bin, snuck up on them, ooh, lets just say, it was a good job I was using the pooper scooper!!! It was clean!
Driving lessons went better last night, hill starts mastered (just about ) and reverse parking into a bay. Only have parallel parking left to tick off as a first and then it's just practice practice practice it's very tiring though don't know how these young persons manage so much concentration
Talking of young persons, my youngest son has friend visiting over the weekend from Scotland so today is a dry run to Canterbury with him so I don't have to chaperone them when they go themselves. A couple of hours out of my day is better than hanging out with teenagers for 8hrs of cinema and shops
Good morning all I have been up and about for ages, elsewhere on here and in the garden.
Edd - awwwwwwwww!!!
Glad everyone seems to have had a positive day yesterday - too many events etc to mention but
Glad too that BL and her OH enjoyed their day - that pub is a bit special - and so is Woottens Enjoy Bressingham and the rest of your time in Suffolk
Busy day planned today - a beach picnic is planned with some members of the other forum I'm a member of - so shopping lists, cooking etc must be done, as well as watering and tomatoes to pinch out and tennis to watch ..... but first, caffeine must be taken on board
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I thought it was you WS, as remembered how lovely it was and I had two at old house which were gorgeous. Have brought two new ones for here but still very small! That's me being impatient as usual!
Hope you have lovely day BL
