    Good morning all image

We got back yesterday evening and just flopped on the sofa.  Glad you all seem to have been ok without me image  Verdun, glad your cousin is on the mend ((hugs)).

Clematis HF Young is covered with buds, but I've a feeling they're not going to open - they don't look right - I've googled and think its a potash deficiency - it had a good helpling of Clematis food a while back but obviously it needs more - I'll get some soluble potash from the GC later today and give it a good dosing.

    Morning image

Lesley - that hat reminds me of the woman in the car park at Glencoe a few years back. She and hubby/partner had one of those mobile homes and she sat out on a seat preparing the sandwiches with one of those on. We were getting ready to walk but we were helpless with laughter watching her.  We couldn't understand why she didn't just do them in the van! image

Fidget - you're right. Never know how long we have. On the Scottish news yesterday it was reported that the daughter of a well known boxer (Jim Watt) had died suddenly at  38. It's the second child he's lost - his son died at 17 in an accident. How on earth do you deal with that? Counting my blessings.

Having my porridge and heading out soon. Hope everyone has a good day. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I have a couple of those nets. They go over any hat. They are very popular in Oz when it is fly season. I cant stand flies around my face.

Blue skies here, so garden here I come.

Good morningimage.  I'm definitely getting one of those nets - but not for making sandwichesimage.

Enjoy your walk Fairy.  It's nice out there at the moment but my lot are all bowling later which could put a jinx on it.

What awful news for Jim Watt. No idea how you'd deal with that.

Morning all. Another hot day. 38° forecast for next Wednesday.

Going to DD's Open Garden tomorrow afternoon. I hope she's feeling OK.

Am doing my best with the specs, it's just weird that I can't wander around with my reading glasses on anymore image Instead I have to do the peering over the top of them thing image

Looks like another scorcher here image

Lovely to have you back KEF, hope the neighbours did the watering image

Good to see you back safely KEF - glad the holibobs were good.

Big excitement here - the Pauls Himalayan Musk rose that I planted to scramble up a tree 6 years ago has not only started to peep out of the tree canopy, but has also flowered for the first timeimage.  And, yes, it is the lovely pale pink I was expectingimage (would have been disappointing to wait all those years only to discover I'd got a mis-labelled one.) Next year its going to be glorious - but the teaser this year is pretty encouraging.

off for mane taming this morning - might pop into an Ngs garden on the way home, and then I'll be out there planting my heliotrope, more rudbeckia and some snapdragonsimage
