Panda, your job is to put the kettle on and leave them to it ......
Getting ready here to head for MIL's this evening so we can go to friend's funeral tomorrow morning. Back tomorrow evening.
The builder is here glossing garage door and doing a bit of snagging re earlier decoration work. There are at least five frogs basking in the pond in the hazy sunshine and I'll be outside watering pots and veggies when I've finished noddling on here and drinking coffee ......
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
All pots and containers watered - sprinkler has given the runners, broad beans and fruit bushes a good soak, now it's on (or rather underneath) the big Hostas under the trees on the Shady Bank. Pond has been given a dose of Sludge Buster as a follow up to the blanket weed treatment the other week. Frogs and snails seem happy
Think I'll go and pack in a minute .........

I spoke too soon this morning. The sun very quickly took his hat off and now we have rain. The wall is finished at last and I'm dying to get going on digging grit, FYM and compost into the bed. That should give a good start for the plants.
Hope the visit to your cousin goes well Verdun and that there is some improvement ((hugs)) from me too.
Panda - yes it's fine for them to do the work but you always have to keep an eye on where they think they can get away with putting stuff
Dove I hope the funeral goes as well as it can and that your friend is well remembered.
Have been trying to communicate here nearly all morning, had the page open but then stuff and daughters partner (hairdresser) arrived to do all our hair. Pippin instantly started barking at the clippers. The first time we have heard her bark, then tried to keep her calm and not bark Then DP left and was supposed to take some plants but they are still here. Hey ho!!
Lot of grandchildren being born/imminent on here, how lovely. I hope they all grow up to enjoy gardening.
Hope interview was OK, cousin is recovering and all music stuff fits where it should.
Pippin news though, not a clean floor this morning Have been given some hints on what to do by a behaviourist, so we will work on that next .
She is off to vet later for an introduction and a health check
Dove, I we lost a good pal in the spring, it's tough
DD how on earth do you do it?
Lesley K I love a new opportunity to plant! Piccies please. We just have masses and masses of weeds. They seem to reappear instantly
Matty sounds as if your new addition is settling and sees his job as to guard you!
New baby and mum home, baby not 24 hours old. It's all different, I had a week! Happy that Lily junior and Lily Pillet in London and able to visit, waiting to hear when I am wanted but bag is ready!
Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.” A A Milne
I was awake before 4 and my alarm was set for 5.45 but by 5 I'd given up and stuck the kettle on .
Lovely drive around delivering this morning . Glorious sunny day.
OH just arrived home and currently inspecting the handiwork of the new cleaner who started to-day. I'd give her 8 out of 10 but I'm sure she'll get used to us in time and do things the way we want.
