I will be at DD's Open Day in the afternoon. Would you like a chocolate cake or a fruit cake with apple and sultanas? Both will freeze.

Just off to the hospital to see new grandson. 9th grandchild, should be an old hand now, but it's always exciting.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

  • Hi everyone image I have been very unwell past week or so and still not at my best image.

"Septic throat" horrendous...Feeling a bit better now but not 100%, doc says it can take weeks.

Anyhow.....Hope your all your usual fun loving, diddly selves imageimage?

Dying to read what everyone has been up too (but i'm sure i will not get through every thread so apologies in advance).

Had a potter around garden today and planted a few things that needed in the ground but needless to say, i ended up back indoors after an hour.

Dying to get stuck in as so much to do but French friend of mine has been helping all she can but not the same if not doing it yourself is it?

I'm hoping to catch up soon...(still cant post pics lol) but i hope your all fit and well and enjoying your gardens image.

Hi Clarice - sorry you've been so unwell!  Look after yourself and take things slowly until you're back on your feet.  image  The garden will still be there when you're feeling better.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Hello everyone,  Haven't caught up with everything yet but just popped in to say Hi.

Congrats on the new baby Busy, let us know what his name is as soon as you know.

Feel a bit better today, tried some gardening but too tired so gave up and retired to sofa.  Looking after grandaughter tomorrow so must get some enery back.  Did go out this morning to GC and bought two Salvia Caradonnas one to highlight some orange planting and the other to add to some pink plants.

Dundee Cake in the oven - smells nice. image

Still got school baking to do on Saturday morning, still pondering what to make, it gets used as a dessert after the BBQ supper, I think mostly to adults - served on paper plates and probably a shortage of cutlery so needs to be easy to eat, stay fresh all day and served cold, also not inclined to melt if it is a hot day. Any ideas???

Need to pot up plants tonight for plant sale on Sunday - thought I had better keep my hands clean all day whilst baking but ready to get stuck in again now. Veg patch keeps calling but no way am I doing it twice so that might wait until tomorrow. image
