Hi fidget and gg. I go to Sheffield Botanic gaeden alot.It is a great garden and since getting a lottery grant it seems to be improving all the time. I try to go every few weeks, theres always something different to see and you get quite a ggod walk if you go round the whole site.

How can you lie there and think of England

Hello folks - busy day, back late - been out doing visits in rural parts of Norfolk up near the coast - Nut, you said we might see a Red Kite when we come visiting your way - well, I saw one today near Walsingham - the first one I've seen in Norfolk.  A really special day - glorious weather, glorious scenery, glorious autumn colour, and a Red Kite image  I was also given a lovely bunch of flowers by a colleague who is on leave next week and realised that today was the last day we will work together - as I said, a really special day.

BusyLizzie - you asked what my job is - I'm part of a social work team working with children with severe disabilities and life limiting and complex health conditions.  A brilliant job which I will miss.

    Hi, corny and welcome.

  • Not many days to go now Dove, lucky you. No more having to go out in grotty weatherimage

Thanks Dove. My sister is a children's social worker. They get some flack in the press but they do a great job which is demanding and difficult. But her children aren't badly disabled, they are badly treated, she's seen some terrible things.

On a lighter note, I bought some crocuses today, 50 for about £4. How does that compare with English prices?

Helping with a charity concert with meal on Saturday. Cooking the veggie option and 2 puds, have I already said that?
