I heard that Fairy. My tulips are no longer in a bag in the shed either. I put them near the compost heap, if they come to nothing I'll just extend the heap over them. There's a nice display of bulbs on the compost heap already, Tete a Tete I think, the snowdrops are over. I'm waiting to see what the others are, something white and spready? not any of the alliums,

What a lovely day today has been image Washing on the line, sun out, only marred by my neighbour's taste in music. I understand we all might like a little bit of music in the  garden, but there is no need to have it so loud it distorts the speakers image Still, at least only one lot were playing music. Sometimes they like to compete image

Gorgeous day here - t-shirts all day.  Re-discovered some more of my plants underneath their blanket of leaves and acorns (all of which are now sprouting - never mind, oak saplings are easy to weed) - all my echinaceas coming through, my bells bank geums and lots of eryngiums.  All very excitingimage.

pond looks like a herculean task dove - oh is a heroimage.  Love peonies Fairy - which one are you going for?  Off to google kedera gh's to see what Andy is hankering after. Might need a snooze too - all that fresh air has got to meimage

White and spready sounds good enough for me. I've got Narcs.Silver Chimes and Thalia which I love so looking forward to them - they're all in pots and plonked in the biggest raised for now. They'll get split up and put in other beds as I go along.

Not sure which peony yet chicky -   I don't like pastel pinks, and the plummy red one is in everyone's garden round here, so it'll be a white - probably Duchesse de Nemours which is a double and well scented. They have it at the nursery - I'd earmarked it last year. Laura Dessert is another white which is nice but I may have to get that online. Not seen it down there. The bed has lots of deep purples and whites - my Irises are going in there - and I've put  the clematis in that I got last year - need a couple more of them though, probably some earlier ones, and I'll put some sweet peas along the fence too.

Thanks for the pic of the bulbs. Glad you got use of the voucher. image

What a lovely day, got so much done, weeded all beds in back garden, sorted out a few pots (to fill with plants not yet boughtimage) dug over one of the veg plots and dug out a blackberry that had found a home in my forsythia!

Ive got 2 peonies that haven't flowered for a couple of years does anyone have a solutionimage

I want an arch to go between the two hedges of st johns wort in the walkway to the fruit trees and veg plots. As these have laarge yellow buttercup like flowers i wanted a pale yellow or cream rose for arch. Does anyone know if creme del la creme or Madame Alfred Carrere are any good. Saw them on tinternet.image

Peonies can take a little while to get going lily, but they don't like being planted too deep. If you've mulched the area, that might also be an issue for the same reason. Lift them and replant and see if it makes a difference image
