Put it this way Lesley, Im only looking as far as the weekend when son in law will be at home and Ill be beating a path to my own front door.  Cant face looking forward as far as next week. She's due to be singing at a festival this weekend and going on holiday to Menorca in a couple of weeks so I know she is going to be in an evil mood when she gets back from casualty.  Might just go and get a very early night!

Been busy today, shopped and cleaned bedroom and ironed duvet cover for OH's BIL and his wife who are coming tomorrow for 6 days. And did general dreaded HW.

Poor police or whoever clears up that mess.

Yvie hope your daughter recovers soon. You may be a similar age to me. My children are in their 30s, but people my age are only 27 on this forum!

There is a thread for gardens we have visited on this forum, but no one has been there since May. I better go and add a few photos as we saw several garden on holiday. There was a thread for last year too which had some lovely photos.

  • Hi I have great fun in my garden with my gravel drives. Every year I tease up loads of Agapanthus seedlings, with great fleshy roots, for potting up, some of which I give away. Today I teased 18 hardy geraniums , and potted them up for the wild flower meadow my friendimageimage is creating. I also potted up 24 erigeron daisies which are going in the other direction, i.e. to be planted in the gravel, along the stone edges to soften the look. They love the harsh conditions. Strangely I find it hard to germinate erigeron seeds in normal compost... but left to their own devices they will pop up in the most hostile of conditions. There's a lesson there somewhere, but dare I buy seed to scatter it on the ground?

Wood green - love Agapanthus. I have just planted out three this year. Lots of foliage but no flowers. Hope I will have some flowers next year.  imageimage
