Damp and grey this morning ,am going to do the SM shop ,and hope the weather picks up later.
Just seen weekend weather more gales forecast for us.
Found out my" No Trick or Treat Here" signs ready for tonight, always glad when Halloween over, hopefully the rain will put them off going round from door to door.Last year there were nearly seventy in various groups.
Chicky, you may have permission to use the A word from tomorrow with my blessing. The W word may not be used until 1 December or when it snows, whichever comes first!
Talking of language changing with the successive generations, and I have not a clue about the current crop of new words, we must not forget that we 27 year olds did exactly the same in our day.... perhaps to wind up the older generation, perhaps to exert our independence or whatever.
Here are a couple to get you started... groovy baby, psychodelic, fab.... over to you
Good morning, Forkers. Its a bit damp and drizzly here.
After the trial by spoilt brats of Meadowhell yesterday, (I forgot its halfterm), I'm now waiting in for more deliveries.
I'm looking at the pink brugmansia(datura?) in its pot and thinking it ought to go in the greenhouse, but OH has the sacktruck with him, and its too big to attemp to move without it. A nice warming beef casserole to cook,I think.
As I havn't got any pumpkins to carve. I'll put a few scary faces on the photo thread.
Aaarrrrrrgggghhhhhh the council are out strimmers in hand I had to point out the still recovering iris that they mutilated earlier in the year the bloke grunted at me and swung the machine the other way phhheeewwww saved again....

Punkdoc - Yo forkers....are you getting 'down with the kids' ?
Woody - the C word isn't allowed in my house till December. Surprisingly my girls stuck to it even when they were little. Bah humbug!
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
