    Good morning allimage.

Glad you're feeling better Dove and able to go and enjoy your lunchimage.  I don't think it's been frosty here but I should really invest in a min/max thermometer.

One good thing about a train journey chicky is to get a chance to see how other people's gardens are doing.  I love looking at the allotments and seeing how inventive people have been with their sheds and greenhousesimage

    Congratulations Eddimage

    Good morning allimage

    Well done Edd.

Pleased to hear you feel better Dove, enjoy lunch out.

Lowest temperature overnight in GH was 8C, fleece ready for tonight and outdoor toms in buckets will go into the garage.

    Morning all.

Slight frost overnight, but sun out now and warming up.

Lots of planting out of seedlings today, with the lawns to mow later, should keep me off the streets.

Winter, pink and yellow can work, just look how many plants have both together on the same flower.

I quite enjoyed the Chelsea challenge, if only to see how I would not design a garden.

    Congratulations Edd!

Wonderful school group in yesterday and today I'm meeting with the RNLI who hopefully will help me run some summer safety activities. Varied life!

I don't think we got a frost here. I need to jiggle a few things around in the greenhouse tonight and pot up my tomatoes - then pester my other half that my birthday is only a few weeks away and I did ask for help in the garden. That second green house woukd be really useful!

Morning all. Beautiful here but I doubt we had much of a frost if any at all. Pity I have to go to work.

Brilliant Edd! Can you come and build me on pretty please? There's nothing more beautiful than a well constructed stone wall image

Didn't see the prog last night doc but I know what you mean. Not sure why everything has to be a competition these days.

Dove - when you consider that some children don't know that the chips they frequently scoff come form potatoes and that those grow in the ground - it's not surprising. Sad isn't it?

I'd better get a wiggle on. Should I leave the washing for a fairy child to hang out or dash out and do it myself...image

Have a good day everyone image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Thanks Pdoc, I appreciate input from knowledgeable gardeners

I do have a couple of examples of both colours on the same plant, Verbascum Clementine and my SummerWine climbing rose so hopefully it will work image, I'm just uncomfortable outside the box but looking forward to seeing it

I still think some of the Chelsea gardens are beautiful, with many good ideas, even though most of them are just an installation.

I am certainly looking forward to going again this year.

Morning all. More gardening today, they said it would rain but have changed their minds.

I enjoyed the Chelsea Challenge programme but I didn't like last night's winner, I thought it was boring.

     Morning all.

Good news and bad news. Good news is that the geese have 4 babies, bad news is that Mrs Mallard only has 2 of the 6 ducklings she had on Saturday.

Apologies for the quality, or lack of it , of photos, but they were not very co-operative.

Thought I'd let you see the monstrous growth on the gunnera.

Another very busy day in garden to-day. I gave up cutting the grass at 8pm, so will have to finish that to-day as I'm back at work tomorrow.

    Regards to all.

    Devon.
