Rain storms on and off all day here but that's what sheds are for!

Put the landlords two sons to use, they removed all the rubble and carpet I dug from my lawn plus finally got rid of the bath, sink and toilet that was sat on the patio-ish-thing for months and months! Got loads done, more grass seed down where spring bulbs will come up under newly planted apple tree. Gooseberry bushes planted and supported, black knight planted buy gate clematis climbing rustic branch support and massive incinerator bin that has rusted beyond use, wrestled and ready for dispatch!

    More tomorrow weather permitting!

Off to vote, been nagging the youth to also....already got 4 people to vote that haven't before or haven't in ages.....its not about who......just that you do! image

Hope you all have good weather for the weekend!

    Lovely evening,

latest news is 3adults, 1 toddler, 2 dogs 1 cat and 11 pieces of luggage all safely arrived in Moscow.

Not spoken to daughter yet but so relieved they are all there safe and sound at last

Breezy today but sunny all dayimage

Been in the garden tying in some vines that got loose in the high winds then got the courage to check all my large flowered clematis for signs of wilt. I think Josephine is definitely going the way of wilt, she has definite black patches, trouble is that my storage area for all clematis was very close so some others are looking suspicious. But then I have some varieties with blackened leaves in bloom when wilt is supposed to occur at the moment of flowering, so although I think I'm hoping for a miracle, I'm also a little confused. image

Been tired all week,  OH tells me it's because I don't stop, I'm always doing something.  Trouble is I can't stop or reality bites and I feel desperately lost.

    evening all.

Driving was ok , if a little slow. Bit achy later but not bad.

I was chatting to some colleagues and one said " I've voted .... this time" another said, " why bother , it's a wasted vote"

I replied, " the only wasted vote is the one which is not cast"

Those who don't vote deserve the worst government who hit them hardest , so don't bother to complain afterwards.

Getting off my soap box now.

    Totally agree Hosta!

Glad the knee held up under the strain! Best to ease back gently after injury!

I've just been to vote and I was really surprised at the turn out, normally a lot of apathy but feels like a change in the air...people seem determined to do something this time! Really great to see!

Glad to 'see' you back in one piece Hosta image  Now give that knee some tlc - possibly a glass of something medicinal is needed?

Think several of us have been on our soapboxes today - but I think that here we're preaching to the converted image
