Good evening all, sounds very windy over there in the UK.image

Was nice here today, been in the garden all day, planting up my babies out of the cold frame but guests from yesterday stayed another night and have had to drink yet more wine with them - just to be sociable of course. we don't let guests smuggle wine in , they have to share with us. image

One of them , bless him, is going to send me some cheddar cheese back when he get home as I said it really is the only thing I miss. image

Lily P I do hope your poor family get sorted on Thursday, what an upset for them all. image

Off to post some more plant ID's now, still keep finding things I haven't planted. image

Morning allimage Hope no one has been blown awayimage.  Just been out to check for damage, and thankfully most plants seem ok.  Luckily the bit of trellis that caved in was one of the few without anything growing up itimage  Bracing ourselves for the next load of gales due to sweep through later today.  I hate windimage

    Good morning all image

The poor garden looks a bit bashed about by the wind, and we've more rain on the way - we do need it, the pond is still low - but I could do without this wind.  Hope everyone's gardens have survived - my broad beans have been bashed about a bit image

I'm heading down to the Suffolk coast this morning to visit Ma - hope she's better than she was when brother visited at the weekend - she was very muddled and didn't want to go out for a push to the pier or anywhere - such a shame as it was a lovely day.  I've got her a stick of Cromer rock - she's always had a sweet tooth and I thought it might bring back some happy memories - fingers crossed image

Hope LillyP's family are sorted - I'm sure they'll be fine with the Russians image

    Good morningimage.

Dull and damp this morning.  Shame about your trellis chicky but not having a lovely plant growing up it was fortunateimage.  Fidget I hope your clematis can be saved.  I've bought obelisks from Aldi before and they only last a couple of years if you're luckyimage

DD you had the best weather aroundimage.  Nice to sit and have a glass, or two, with your guests.  Enjoy your Cheddar when you get itimage

    Have a good day everyoneimage

    Good morning,

The wind sounds like it was very strong over there, hope everything survives.

Dove I do hope your Ma is a bit better today, maybe the rock will bring back some happy memories.

Sun forecast here today but I think a rainy week-end is due. image Will try and get as much done as possible whilst it's fine. image

Morning all. Not much sleep due to wind so its lots of tea then off to Scarborough to collect a donation for the museum. Garden is romping on without me and I'm getting the feeling that my birthday present (those chickens he said I could have last birthday) are retreating back into a distant pipe dream! Ix it possible to delay my birthday a month or so? I'm too busy to deal with the "oh you have to celebrate" brigade!
