It's quite frightening when those stones hit the windscreen. image

Still some sun here but cooling now of course. Only just in double figures when I left this morning and a heavy dew on the grass.

Great result in the men's long jump image

Smart move Dove - it was just starting when I came home at lunchtime but wasn't around long enough to see much. I'll watch the highlights but I don't like what's her name...Gabby Logan  image

Love Michael Johnson though. He was always one of my heroes. image

Oops Jo, sorry I mentioned itimage.

The athletics have been great though,  I'm getting a bit hoarse after all the encouragementimage.

Dove v KEF Fairy?  I feel very sorry for both but Dove's will cost money and KEF's bruises will get better on their own.  (Ducking down for cover now)image.

    Look after yourself tomorrow

I know what you mean jo - we had our best weather in April image This time of year is often when we get good stuff but it's cold in the mornings and early evenings of course.

My garden doesn't know what season it is - the purple hellebore started flowering a few weeks ago and is completely covered in blooms, albeit slightly paler, and today there's a pasqueflower with two rosy flowers on it. image

    I ain't complaining image

Just had a phone call from my Welsh cousin M - his brother T (the one from Tasmania that was in the bush fire with their grandchildren) is over in the UK and staying with their Mum in South Wales so M and his wife have a week off ....... they're doing a quick tour of the rellies in their campervan and will be in Norwich tomorrow - I'm at a funeral in Suffolk most of the day but hopefully should be back mid-afternoon so they're going to arrive here around tea time and we'll go to the local pub for supper - they'll park the campervan on our drive and sleep there the night (we've offered them the spare room but they insist they'll be fine).

It'll be lovely to see them. image

Cousin's wife is a professional gardener ....... it's too late to do any weeding now image
