Evening everyone, as promised I'm trying to be here but it's probably late and everyone is in bed now. The business is going great, a few stressful weeks and very busy but I (we) love it, I don't even mind working bank holidays now, I love being my own boss but also love speaking to all our lovely customers. 12 hour days and weekend working but I wouldn't have it any othe way.
Ive had a quick glance through, can't keep up sorry but read about the car jacking (can't remeber who now but how scary, glad your daughter / son was safe inside.
And somone gardeing at work with adults with learning difficulties.....that's what my sister does and I've taking her some seeds and tomato plants on Saturday to grow with the lady she cares for.
Lily, Daisy and Ollie are fab, digging holes again now the works are making an appearance but apart from that they are just great......I won't fall in the hole this year!!!
Hi Orchid, I'm Wonky, daughter of Dove, that's me gardening with adults with learning disabilities, we grew tomatoes last year and strawberries too this year .we have also installed a bird table
But like you by the songs of things, I want to work for myself! But fingers in pies....I will get there, look forward to getting to know every one on here, youhave allbeen very welcoming and I thank you all
Hello Wonky Womble, what a cool name Sorry I haven't welcomed you properly, I haven't been around much but am making more of an effort because it makes me feel better when I'm stressed to 'see' my friends
Your job must be so rewarding, but if it's anything likes my sis you often go above and beyond with little recognition (which I think is a huge shame). So you are Dove's daughter? You are very lucky to have such a knowledgeable mum with both gardening and food
Hi Orchid, yes I'm blessed with the best mother I could wish for! and a friend too! An amazing cook, she has taught me much! My work is rewarding yes and I adore the residents, real characters! and colleagues are all amazing people, not recognized or rewarded, hence wanting to work fur myself eventually.
I have only just finished work and start again at 7 am so ofto bed now butI look forward to hearing about your business, it sounds rewarding working for yourself, my dream! Nice to meet you and speak soon
Wonky - sorry but I hadn't picked up that Flatface wasn't actually your cat (note to self - must read back before posting!). That does make things such as taking him to the vets a little more complicated.
Keep bathing his eye & giving him TLC - hopefully it will heal with your ministrations. If his owners don't take responsibilty for him & he seems to be suffering it might be a case for the RSPCA - but hopefully it will sort itself out.
You obviously have a big heart to care about him so much!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Yes Topbird, it makes it difficult and me interfering but he isnormally such an independent happy fella, I'd hate to take him to them and for him to be rehomed in a flat with no garden, I kinda think if he's unhappy he will leave permanently, he knows he is safe with me cuz of how he let me bath him without fuss. And the did probably helps I'm justa softy and animal lover....spent my student loan on bird food!
Anyway, bed calls, night Orchid x night Topbird x thanks for the company

A little bit of light rain overnight but looks like another decent day, except I have to go to work . boo hiss.
Lyn came to visit yesterday and had a walk round the garden, tea and a good old natter.
Good morning cool. wet and dull here
