I cried too, and I remembered what happened from the last time He cried real tears didn't he!!!
I like the way it's been directed enormously - no lingering mawkish sentiment - we hardly see either the rumpy pumpy or the tragedy, it's all implied, but it's so powerful - I think the more so because it's in our heads not in front of our eyes!!!
We had frost in the front garden when we woke this morning, but not in the back so hopefully the fruit will be ok. The espalier pear has blossom on for the first time this year - I'm not going to let it fruit as it's still just a baby (well maybe just the one ) .
I've been trying to work out ways to screen off the 'utility' part of this garden - not easy in an area of 12 x 12 metres - decisions must be made soon as I've reached a bit of a block about planting schemes - OH is at home today so I'm hoping he can help me to focus ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Its definitely today and you buy tickets when you get there. I've no idea how much the tickets will be though. That's money I coukd be spending on plants!

Morning all.
Lovely sunny morning, so will go out to play later.
Oh heck, I've not seen Poldark yet either
Have a good day everyone.
See you later peeps x
don't blame me for the "spoilers" Lily.
My apologies for being awol, work very much interfering with the amount of time I'd like to spend in the garden!
A brave beam of sunshine has just hit my garden after a sparkly grounded start to the day, day off work....first in way to long!
Hope everyone is well today
Fyi not a Poldark watcher but....haven't watched the man United footy game yet due to a badly timed family dinner with father....Norwich fan!?
So my point being.... no spoilers Verdun
The more the merrier Chicky. I am planning to do "Pimms in the Garden".... that will bring them out!
Who needs flowers?
