I was reminded today when cutting back last years dead growth (how I remember what's weeds and what's intended image) that it is a good idea to protect ones eyes image No damage done but it is a bit sore where the plant pinged me image

Won't need to buy bamboo canes this year, my fennel stalks from last year should do image

Also hacked at the bramble that invades a part of my garden - forgot about the holly that gets swamped under it image Why don't the plants I want grow as vigorously image

Have a lovely break Dove image

Know what you mean Panda, I dug up a few Blackberry plants that had self rooted. Do have some down the very bottom of the garden,  but don't want it all over the placeimage

Any joy re job hunt x

Nothing yet Lily image Blackberry's are such swine - mine is from a plant that seeded it's self behind a Lilac tree that is unmoveable image

Had lovely lunch out with OH's friends.

Just been to Sainsbury's to get Garibaldi biscuits and peppermint creams for OH's 97 year old auntie, but there weren't any. Does anyone know if they are still made and where to get them from please?

Is anyone else cold? Just been out to water the garden and it's really cold even though the sun is still out and it's a clear blue sky.

Heating turned up and fire lit. Brrrrrr

Now the sun is disappearing (I'm sat in the lounge writing risk assessments - day off what not?!) It is definitely getting cold despite the warm laptop. I do however have Raynaulds Syndrome and am generally very cold blooded.

Unfortunately his lordship will not be content to have the heating on so as soon as is socially acceptable I will be under my "comfort" blanket!
