Evening all. Thanks so much for your good wishes re Mum.
Just got back after spending most of the day at the hospital with Mum; yesterday's x-rays were just arm & shoulder, the bit which hurt most at the time. But by this morning she couldn't bear weight on her right leg, so it was back in for x-rays on her hip, pelvis and knee. Nothing is broken! But at 94, she has to be kept moving, even though it's clearly excruciating for her, or she'll lose the ability to walk. I left her sleeping peacefully though, and hopefully by tomorrow she'll be a little more comfortable.
The wind has definitely died down here now, after spreading the garden with twigs and branches. A dead tree has come down in the wood near the house, though we didn't hear the crash!
Hope things are quieter with you too!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Sorry RB, had gone back off when you posted, only really got up to make himself some food, cheese and spud pie...again!
Liri, sorry your mum is sore, that generation are so flippin tough! Hope she feels more comfortable soon
Lesley, a lady i got chatting to at the hospital one time had that done at liverpool, she seemed very impressed, not with having to travel tho! They do give you stuff to widen the pipes or at least they did when i had kidney stones, helps a bit bet you are cream crackered! Remember bacon sarnies and doughnuts have no calories in in this sort of situation!
Winter, just occured to me, you cant eat gluten and work in a bakery! Thats cruel!
Good morning all wind's dropped a bit here although the trees are still swaying. Temp has dropped too - and the radio was saying this morning that the winds are delaying the arrival of our migratory bird summer visitors
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Poor Flynn Hope you work out what is upsetting his system soon.
hugs for Liri and Lesley and their Mums. Hope both recover speedily
thank heavens the winds have died down. Luckily no damage here - hope everyone else escaped harm (apart from the dustbin lids - one of the advantages of a wheelie bin).

Hi Winter, yes it is or they are
.
I really wish this wind would go away. I love a bit of weeding here in Sandbach. The name says it all, sandy loam as opposed to heavy clay
