Pottie Pam they are so beautiful! I've still not seen much life in the garden yet despite my masses of bird feeders. Hopefully the resident robin isn't thinking he can scoff the lot himself.

Andy you're so talented they look really nice!

Its proving a quiet day in the office here. So quiet I've just drawn up my plan for the garden I'm just stuck deciding whether to uproot the "hedge" of lavender to put it under where I want the washing line to go to fill the otherwise bare space and hopefully give the bedsheets a pleasant aroma or to leave them be along the footpath.

Oh and I've the raised pond to design and locate, the small apple tree to dig up and shift, the compost bin designs to consider... I'm worn out before I even get a spade out!

Lovely Long tail tits. I find them so comical to watch. At the moment we have goldfinches and dunnocks, + the usuals

Seems that some folk are planning grand garden projects next year, I look forward to seeing the end results.

Lucky miss there Andy, what a relief and lovely arrangements

Lovely walk on the moors today. One of the great joys of where we live is that we are able to get onto the moors from our front door and also that so few people use them. i was out for three hours today and met one other person.

The fresh air and exercise has definetely improved my mood.

  • Nice one, punkdoc.  Where I've been today would probably have driven you round the bend - stuck up in a dark loft improving the insulation!   I also found out where all of the houseflies live over the winter.. image

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

I went to a local garden centre. Not many plants outside apart from xmas trees, but I did pick up 2 hellebores, with flower buds on, at £3.99 each. Most of inside appears to be xmas oriented, eventually I gave up and asked someone where the onion seeds and labels were.A small rack of Robinsons seeds in front of the customer service desk, and labels in the opposite corner to where they were in September. However , I'm ready to start making the labels for next year now, and I have good onion seed.
