Morning. Hectic work week over, so can turn my thoughts to the garden Weather not looking great, but I have lots I can do in the GH. Don't mind at all that we lose an hour's sleep tonight .....it means it will finally still be daylight when I make it home from work.....and that makes such a difference
Glad to see you have all been busy with spades or paint pads
Take it easy Dove - Lesley is so right. Look after yourself ((hugs))
Seem to remember wittering on here about my hyacinths last weekend. Here are the same bulbs grown indoors last year, and then planted in the garden. Can't believe the colour difference
Definitely an indoor morning here, as I can't see the other side of the valley for rain. Not too windy though. Forecast says 95% probability of rain until midday! So pleased I got out in the garden yesterday.
Yvie, hope you finally got some sleep! Nothing worse than padding about a cold house while everyone else is snoring.
Chicky, I love those blue hyacinths! I used to grow Roman hyacinths - multi-stemmed bulbs, more dainty flowers, but haven't seen them as dry bulbs for years. Anyone know of a source of supply? They were my mum's favourite so I'd grow a pot for her next year.
Clari, Reggie looks blissful! Bet he keeps your feet warm... My cat would still prefer to sleep on my head at night, if I let her!
Dove, you deserve a "me" day.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Sunny and windy here at the moment. Rain forecast for later.
The little ones have kindly shared their colds with me so feeling a bit woolly headed this morning and I have lost my sense of taste (or rather smell),so food tastes of nothing.
Think I will put my gloves on and go and remove some more nettles from my borders.
Morning everyone, not caught up yet but will later. Not a happy bunny.....it seems my constant requests to 'him upstairs' for a change in the forecast wind and rain have been ignored......I was hoping he may have listened seen as I've worked so hard this week and was desperate to get on my veg patch
Oh well, green house tidying and cleaning inside it is then.....then I'll turn the kitchen into a potting shed
That was short lived. Cloudy and raining now. Did clear a couple of square yards. Potted up two Sweet Cicely seedlings and one young Nepeta Cataria. Might give it to next door to help keep their cats in their garden and stop them pooping in amongst my young broad bean plants!

Good morning
12C and overcast here.
I'm tired after a night out with the girls, more tea needed before I read back

Morning all.
Son not coming to lunch after all, baby had a bad night, probably teething, and they are too tired.
I'm afraid I never go to village choucroute (sauerkraut, fermented cabbage dish
), can't stand the stuff. Hope Charlie enjoys the evening though.
The garden looks very wet this morning.
