Throwing out all your medical books? Isn't that a bit drastic punkdoc?
I have the loft boarded out. I admit to keeping all my uni books and manuals, and notes. It was three years of my life, and I havn't looked at them in 30 years, But I can't bring myself to chuck them out yet.
MIL was a collector. 3 cubic yards of books. Lots of collections. When one was sufficient, the next started. Trouble is her treasures were not as valuable today as she thought. Disposing off them is hard , as we feel we are betraying her, but we don't have the space or inclination to keep them.
As for dad's garage..... it was supplemented by grandads shed when he died. My brother has a garage full of tools already. Anyone want a set of imperial spanners suitable for tanks? (Dad and Grandad and a couple of cousins were all in the REME.)
Mum however has an awful lot of plant pots. Clarington did you decide what size you want.? Mansfield is not far from Sheffield. I'm sure some could be dropped off on a trip to MeadowHELL.
Kef, my great grandad was listed in the 1910 census as a tripe dresser and seller in Shirebrook. He went on and up to have a stall selling wet fish and shellfish. My Nan told us how they used to boil all the live crabs before selling them on the market.
She used to stuff her fingers in her ears as the crabs "screamed"
Gosh, I don't come on all day and you start talking about yucky food
Found a nice surprise today in the garden - a very dark purple hellebore I didn't think I'd planted one where it was - and I know that it could only have been me as this area was grass before me it's the first time it's flowered so I'm made up I think it's one of the "dying" ones that I bought a couple of years ago (for those that remember on the forum)

Thought he'd been your garden slave today ?- it obviously got in the way of his kitchen planning
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dove, rain stopped play, so it was a glass of wine and siesta. Very decadent , but hey ho.

For any faint-hearted crustacean fans - it's not screaming - it's the expanding air exiting the shell - it acts like a whistle
