Evening all, just a quick pop in whilst waiting for last guests to arrive (full again tonight). Must admit to sitting outside with a glass of wine whilst waiting and an hour ago he phoned to say they were going to be a bit late - hope I don't trip up the stairs when they finally get here, the one glass turned into two.
Finally managed to get to Limoges and was worth the wait, have come home with some new trainers in preparation for my half marathon (attempt) and a new 'sit up & beg' bicycle.
House is clean, garden watered and tomorrow am off to Sarlat for a few days ( did mess up the bookings so have to return tomorrow night to do breakfast next morning, it is only an hour away but then off until Saturday, very much looking forward to the break.
Good luck with new job WW,
Kef sorry to hear about Hairdressers - I hate them all anyway, have terrible hair and they all manage to tell me what I already know - 'isn't is fine'
Lesley, hope it all works out for you.
Good luck Edd.

Market visit didn't find the colocasia, but i did find a stall manned by a chap who was head gardener at Inverewe for 10 years who had 3 agapanthus which, quite clearly, I couldn't live without, and a rather lovely hydrangea arborescens.
Hello Pentillie, hope you have been OK. Wondered where you were.
Wonky, how can you be an amazing wife if you're almost invisible?
That's funny, DD, about hairdressers, I hate going to them too and they all say "isn't it thick". It can't be a compliment because then they take ages, while I fidget, trying to thin it out with an uncomfortable comb razor thingy.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Thanks for the good wishes. Fingers crossed that the antibiotics and painkillers kick in for Mum. She is adamant that I don't go down but of course I will if she has to go to hospital. Not only for her but my Dad can't be trusted not to do something silly like going up the attic when no-one's there to supervise.
Don't know what happened to my foot. It just came on overnight on Friday and got worse. The doctor's not sure either. Poor OH is doing all dog walks, shopping, etc. Unfortunately that doesn't leave him any time for weeding
KEF - that sounds like torture. Hope you didn't leave a tip.
Mine does Lesley, but that's coz it's true To be accurate, she tells me what good condition it is in, and how easy it is to comb . . . . which is great as it is 100% bleach blonde That said, I do treat it well so I'm not surprised
Mine is thick and strong and virtually indestructible my hair dresser is so lovely about it, I don't feel half as guilty as I used to and she always gets a big tip
