My OH belongs to a golf club, and there is a man there, who he sometimes plays golf with who has a son with Downs syndrome. There are occasionally quiz nights there and he always brings his son. He is around twenty I think and is adorable. He always comes over to us to say hello, gives me a hug (sometimes a bit to hard lol) and shakes my OH hand. He is always very polite and has a great sense of humour. If he gets the questions right he can't wait to come over to tell us. His parents say he too can be a monkey at times. But i'm sure they are very proud of him, and so they should be, he is a very caring lovable young man.
Snow is slowly melting and its above freezing,I have many seeds and bulbs started Now we have to wait until May 24th as that's our safe date for planting. My Clivia has bloomed, here's a picture
Grown up daughter's birthday today She started a new job with Mencap this week - I spoke to her last night - she's loving it
Some of you may know that I used to help at a Special Youth Club - teenagers with Downs are teenagers first and foremost, with all that stage of life entails - they may need a bit more support than others youngsters, but the same things in life are important to them - great fun was had by everyone at that youth club
Thinking about Verdun and his Mum.
Hoping Panda feels better - but Panda, even if you do feel better you should make an appointment with the GP and go and describe the problem - I'm sure you can get help ((hugs)) you don't get prizes for putting up with things ((hugs)).
Bill - how lovely to see that clivia
Bob, I've looked at Rip van Winkle in the past - the one I knew was taller and paler, just like a Narcissus pseudonarcissus, and somehow fuller than RvanW. I think it must've been a sport of the Narcissus pseud. it was just one clump in a very old orchard that otherwise only had the Narc. pseud. in it. Perhaps I should plant loads of them and wait for a sport to occur?

Lily, you are off work today, good. Panda if you are going today pretend I'm in your handbag, might be very heavy, but if someone upsets you threaten to open the bag, I can be a Tiger when roused
