Hate going to the hairdresser, cut my hair this morning, have folding mirror wardrobe doors, have got used to cutting it with everything being back to front.
Going to the supermarket for supplies. OH says he'll treat me to lunch out, nothing posh, probably the Chinese.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Thanks all - I'm much better now - think it must've been an 'early morning thing' and the tail end of the bug.
Becky - we're not keen on 'nice and warm', and who'd do all that needs doing in the garden? Getting out there in the promised sunshine this weekend will probably clear my head
Hosta ... that's so nice
Verdun ... good luck
KEF ...
Smiles to everyone else too numerous and busy to mention
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

1. Prune the Laurel before it is a giant again? except now that the ivy is gone from our house wall, they are looking at it to nest in, but its also the route of most of the neighbourhood cats who climb up inside and scale my fence to reach the alleyway
2. Make the pile of rubbish for the skip a) bigger and b) smaller if I tidy it up a bit?
3. Twiddle my thumbs whilst waiting for the delivery man to turn up with bark, tiles, gravel, another ton bag of stone (since Flynn's running madly round the garden has uncovered thin patches)
4. Make raised beds for most of my hostas to control slugs better away from Flynn
5. PPPs because I still have about 15 plants that need decisions made and a bit of a sore midriff today due to all that soil removing yesterday
6. Tidy?
7. Sow seeds which I still haven't done yet despite buying myself a propagator
8. Oh, just remembered, fix the trellis to fence and tie in the remaining roses that are sprawling a bit (how lovely to say something is sprawling in my garden when I've been waiting so long for things to establish)
Well, you get the idea. Too many other things to mention but OH has just said he wants to use his new cordless drill and put my hosta beds together so...I'll start there
Looks quite promising out there today. Everyone seems very busy.
We get lots of geese flying over due to a nearby park that has a lake. Not very tidy flyers are they cranes. I'm always amazed by the flying V when the geese go over.
Bet it is Cosford Bekkie, used to be involved in a Swing Bank that regularly played at Cosford under the wings of an aeroplane. Everyone in costume, really used to enjoy that gig.
Hosta, it's always nice to be apreciated by work when you are off sick. Is the knee improving?
Just checked emails and lots of plants in transit for delivery today. That should keep me busy.
Good morning everyone. Glad that some of you are feeling better and others that are still poorly get well soon .Have had a busy few days, son and two grandchildren have been poorly with bad tummies. So as I have not had to babysit them this week (as son looked after them), I have been helping other half do feeding and cleaning out of all the cattle. Our son is back today so back to house work and paper work and hopefully gardening.
Can't remeber everything so forgive me before I start.
I don't come on very often but Dove yu seem to be permanently under the weather, You gave me such good advice so all I'm saying is take care (doctors?????)
Huge garden plans going on by everyone I see hope you complete whatever you are planning
and dentist also seems to be ipopular.
Dogs being tricky - well that's dogs for you. Hoope Reggie cheers up.
I went to GC yesterday clutching my list. Only bought one plant a Viburnum Mareisii, but did get some seed potatoes and other stuff, I was looking for garden gauntlets one arm need to be protected more now - seems they only have mens sizes so will research on internet.
Also my bracelet has come saying no BP or needles in the one arm.
Today the plan is to prick up seedlings to make room for the March sowing.
Back from playing in the park... Actually we got on pretty well, removing countless ash and beech seedlings and saplings from a glade which contains the site of a 17th century farmhouse, and constructing the House at Pooh Corner (actually a habitat pile), using everything we'd removed plus logs etc cleared by the council workers on a pile of moss-covered stone. And it didn't rain!
Must get lunch. Tummy rumbling...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
