I can't keep her in, she would have a panic attack, has always lived out with her friends. Hates being in, thinks it means vet (vaccinations) or dentist or something! When I kept daughter's horse in when he had a foot abscess he tried to jump out of the loosebox window!
Patisserie trays are good for seeds, pre-formed with clear plastic lids! Can punch holes for ventilation.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Really sunny here too but bit nippy! No paint brushes out yet but Hoover is emptied and ready! He can wait! Just been out cutting back the never ending Montana!!! Maybe one more good go and I will have won
Hope your horse gets better soon BL, have you ever showed us him?
any luck job hunting panda? I know it's crap! My sis doing the same
Sunny but windy here in Worcester. Grabbing a cuppa and a catch up while Mabel (little granddaughter) is asleep. Popped into GC after dropping Merri (my eldest granddaughter) at school. Didn't buy any plants but we had a nice cuppa and a slice of almond fruit cake before taking a stroll rounds the plants. Mabel likes to look at the pretties, took quite a fancy to a plastic bunny today, thank the lord I managed to distract her.
Looks like the rest of the week is going to warm up a bit (according to the forecast) so hopefully I'll get some gardening in tomorrow when I'm home.
Sorry to hear about your horse Bizzie hope he/she gets better soon. Panda a cheese scone would go down nice this afternoon so I'll take you up on your offer.
Wintersong I'd feint if my hubby decided to paint anything. It takes months of bullying to get a paintbrush in his hand. I'm going to have to threaten to 'get a man in' to decorate he might then decide to move his a**e and get cracking.
Hostafan, glad you are going to get that knee sorted. You'll probably have to rest it occasionally all through the spring and summer. You know, a few hours on the sunbed when the weather's nice with a cuppa and a slice of cake might be the only way to get it right.
Great news at hospital - I need to go back next week, such a difference from twice a week. What will we do with the time??
Windy and showery here, may sow some beetroot seeds but compost is getting low. OH says he will take me to big GC tomorrow, that will require a list so will spend most of today thinking about and writing it
Great news Matty What will you do with the time? I wonder ............
BL - horses eh? Who'd have 'em Juno quite liked being kept in - her stable was near the house and she could see the owner's 3 boys playing in the yard - she liked that - I think it made her feel important rather than being stuck in the field with mere horses
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Matty, good news but I bet you've been told not to overdo things. Umm - making a long list keeps you sitting down doesnr't it?
Hosta I hope the earth's moved for you. Don't risk making it worse before your appointment.
Panda I would love a cheese scone too if there are any left. I love them but just can't make them
I went to SM this morning and had to look at the plants and came home with a Knautia Melton pastels and Helanium Hoopesii (which I've looked up and has now been renamed Hymenoxys Hoopesii ). Why do they change names as soon as I've learnt it? Still for £3 for two plants I'll recover.
Yvie - you do know the plastic bunnies do very little damage in the garden
Beaus - careful with all the painting - that's how I got carpel tunnel. Well that and using secateurs when I should have been using loppers.
Sunny, but bitterly cold here, not a day to be in the garden, for me at least.
That sounds like good news Matty.
I have worked out how to avoid decorating. I make such a mess that OH has banned me from doing anything other than the smallest job.
Off to clear out the car, on the assumption that the new one will turn up at the garage soon. Then it all depends on whether I like it when I test drive it. I suppose I should be excited, but I love my car.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Hopefully an Audi A1. It will be nice to have room for compost and stuff in the boot, but whether that compensates for not having a soft top, well that's another matter.

Today is feeling quite an odd day. Took Reggie to the vets to collect some worming tablets and have him weighed (he's only gained one 1kg - where the devil he's putting all this food we give him I've no idea!! I'm a little concerned although its entirely possible he lost a lot of weight after his first bath (post weigh in) as the poor devil was so muddy from the kennels! Less long walks, a little more food, worming tablet, and we'll see what happens next month.
Now at work and I've not only lost my to do list but the clipboard it was attached too! Its left me feeling very odd and confused. I have such great plans - but without them written down I've little chance of remembering them. I hope its not with the chilly seeds I was meant to send KEF: someone is going to be in for a shock if they find it for sure!

What are you hoping to get Pdoc? Not anything too sensible I hope
