Bekkie: Reggie sleeps in the hallway with all doors shut to him and the hallway light is too bright to leave on. Now he has a light area (by the front door) and a dark area (under the stairs) to pick from. He slept well yesterday but with 2 1/2 hours of wakking, sniffing, meeting new peoole and dogs, AND a bath we ALL slept well!
The sun rises to the left (same side as the lawn and manshed) and goes across the school field at the end of the garden. I might need to be careful to ensure large plants go in the second greenhouse to not block little plants in the first!
The first greenhouse came with the house, the second is actually the other halfs from when he was a little boy! Both need much tlc but being 'up north it will be wonderful to extend the growing season on a few of the kitchen essentials (Not to mention have somewhere warm to hide!)
Lasted five minutes outside: just long enough to bring my potted chives in to give them some fresh soil and put them in the greenhouse to encourage them to get going (I've more in a pot outside that I will be able to alternate with).Currently not snowing but my lord is that wind biting like a sharp thing!
Playing with ideas for the vegetable garden again. I'm thinking of moving the strawberries into hanging baskets so they're out of the way of the dog. The garden itself will be fenced off so it would work nicely to have the fence behind the greenhouses and around bed 4 Leaving beds 5 and 6 and non edible I.e. doesn't matter if it gets peed on!
Not that I get many strawberries anyway since I normally end up letting the birds eat them as I just feel guilty!
No snow here, sun is shining but the wind is really strong and cold. Have been to Rhythm and Rhyme this morning lots of giggles and happy clapping. Baby is now fast asleep.
Could have done with being at home today, a good day to get a few jobs done in the garden. I want to cut the ivy back and remove suckers from contorted hazel tree. Wont be back until Wednesday though so will have to be patient.
Sorry for those still getting snowed on.
Don't know how you will fit all that garden work in Clari with the hours you put in at work, you must be shattered.
Talking about feeling shattered, I might try and get 40winks in myself before Little Miss Mischief wakes up.
Ha Yvie, bet LO was fast asleep when you were doing rhythm & rhyme. You will be able to catch up at home by the weekend when it's meant to be a bit warmer.
Bekkie and Winter, I can't possibly comment on the gym..
Brrrrrrrrrr!!! Jolly cold and windy out there! Even in the city centre!
I've bought Pa some new polo-type shirts for his birthday M&S small size - he used to take XL
I bought some Sicilian sausages from the market - I'm going to turn them into meatballs and have them with pasta for supper (sorry KEF ) I also bought some Toulouse sausages to freeze and do something with later, and I bought a new knitting pattern and some gorgous (expensive) yarn to knit myself a jacket when I've finished DD's cardi.
Now I'm bushed!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Don't worry Matty - it's the cold that gives you red cheeks. I thought these things, pooters, were meant to make life easier. Oh - I'm learning KEF's language. Just keep me away from the geezers
Bekkie, hope you've warmed up a bit now. Good that George still wants a walk, no matter how slow. Next time take a hot water bottle out.
Hugs Dove. It's one of those moments that makes you stand back and realise what a difference there is. He will love your present.

Hi everyone,
Just got back from visit to friends yesterday. Lovely day and evening.
Sunshine here but a cold wind.
Clari, second layout looks good.
Hope you feel better Dove and Busy Liz.
Hope we don't get snow.
See you later peeps x
Great Liz - always wondered how to do it on here.
Sorry - Good Day All
Well thought I would try
So very windy today, may not go outside even though it is sunny. Still there are seeds to sow and some could just about be pricked out
Sorry all - will go and catch up now
