Dianthus and statice seeds starting to say hello. Echinacea and monarda also popping up (cloches removed finally).

Stop press! Alstromeria just winked at me! What an exciting day! I didn't think I'd see her again, she had a nice drink of phostrogen and got recloched! (did want to post a pic from last year but I've been 'tidying' the photos on the computer and can't find any from last summer! Yikes! )

Watched GBGR stumpery again, re-inspired by Lily, reminded me to get ferns for dry shade.

    Phew image

Just spent a merry afternoon digging the clay that passes for soil at my mum's flat.  SOOO glad my soil is sandy, even if it does need loads of compost....

Hi everyone. Well I lasted the day, and it was better than yesterday but only a bit.

Sorry to hear your mumis poorly Verdun, hope she makes a speedy recovery. Sending best wishes and hugs.

MrsG where did you watch the stumpery thing.

Kef, have I missed something, image why would you be taller today?

Pam thanks for those pics - they're very similar, but as I remember them from a very long time ago, the centre petals were paler and even finer, sort of like shredded chiffon, but yours are the nearest I've ever seen. Certainly the way the back petals do that sort of windmill thing is as I remember image

Hi all. Had to come home from work sick as had an horrific headache - occasionally I get what can only be described as a headache with motion sickness attached. The only way I can deal with them is to sleep. I thought I could work through it as I hadn't actually been sick but after being there for half an hour decided I couldn't. Am feeling a lot better now for the sleep.

Verd, so sorry to hear about your mum. Wishes are for you and her recovery.

((Hugs)) Panda, glad you are feeling a bit better.  Is that not a migraine?  When I occasionally get a migraine all I can do is sleep x

Lily, GBGR still on catch up tv, 4 on demand, had to type nearly full title before it came up though.

Panda ((hugs)) that sounds like bad migraine to me - Ma used to get them, she'd have to spend a couple of days a month in a darkened room when she was about your age - treat yourself gently image

Do you take migraine medication?  There's some good stuff available on prescription nowadays, much better than when Ma was suffering.
