I usually fail tests too Yvieimage

Hope your cold improve soon Lizzie.  Perhaps a siesta is called for this afternoon.  Bekkie I have only tidied a few scraggy bits in the borders so far and it does look horrible but it will be easier to do when it's a bit drier.  I may do the buddleia because I can reach without standing on the soil.  Btw I hope you do get your muck for Valentine's Dayimage

  • If im honest Yvie, most of my garden is an allotment anyhow! Not really very pleasing to the eye, it looks ok with annuals around it in summer, the shrubs etc have to make do with the bits i cant really grow crops in! image

Yvie, you go and buy what makes you happy! You arent stealing to keep your habit going, i know lots of ladies that wouldnt bat an eyelid at spending 800 quid on a handbag! At least your garden will give you pleasure for years to come image

SGL, think you are probably right, havent even seen any frogs yet thinking about it image

    Morning fellow forkers,

......., I couldn' t bear to leave 'scraggy bits' lying around any longer to mine has been tidied up over the last week or so.

I've done some tidying up this morning - eyebrows tweezed, face and body exfoliated, lots of lotions and potions applied image

LOL Dove, those scraggy bits will probably get left until its a bit warmerimage

Well I passed the testimage, not that wasn't tempted.  It's hellebore day at Ashwoods and as they grow some of the most beautiful in the country it was difficult.  FB&B and Clematis Food purchased.  They didn't have the thingymajigs that keep multiple canes together for sweet peas so I'll have to go on t'internet, another test then.  I did buy a very pretty basket of polyanthus for mum's birthday tomorrow but that doesn't count.  I'm just having a cuppa and a caramel custard doughnut (I can hear Verdun drooling from here) before attacking the lawn.

You're right Bekkie, when I worked I used to spend a fair amount on clothes and now live in jeans and tops, rarely drink and don't smoke so I suppose the garden is my one weakness.  Who used to say that - was it someone on Cranford or Larkrise to Candleford, if I remember right they used to lots of 'one weaknesses'
