Morning all. I love a sherry trifle with raspberries too, but prefer it without jelly in it. Used to make it for New Year's Day lunch when the children lived at home. First OH used to make the custard using lots of cream from a recipe that was in the Sunday Times in the 70s. I used home made sponge cake and frozen raspberries from the garden and homemade raspberry jam. Lots of sherry of course.
Slept badly, nose got blocked. OH has gone to an all day workshop with his choir. Conductor come from England, preparing for Easter Concert, The Creation, by Haydn.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Do you lot reckon we are in for any more really cold weather? I leave the scraggy bits like last years nasturtiums in the ground to give protection for all the crawlies, but even im getting fed up with the mess, do you lot reckon it will be ok for me to tidy yet, or should i just hold fire for a couple more weeks?
Wouldn't surprise me Bekkie, Wednesday wasn't that cold here, yesterday it was very windy and flippin freezing. Today its lashing down, so who knows what next week will bring. We often get snow here in February, our gardens like a bog at the mo so not doing anything out there yet
Grey and murky here but I'm determined to get in the garden. Before I do I think I need some virtual support from you all. I have to go to Ashwoods. Now being a plantaholic this is temptation in the extreme. I am going buy Fish Blood and Bone for the Borders and get a few canes for the sweet peas. I have already spent far to much for my bank balances good over the last few weeks (ordered a bench for the garden yesterday) well you do need a focal point when walking through an arch/gateway.
Bekkie, I couldn' t bear to leave 'scraggy bits' lying around any longer to mine has been tidied up over the last week or so.

Morning fellow forkers,
Grey and murky here but I'm determined to get in the garden. Before I do I think I need some virtual support from you all. I have to go to Ashwoods. Now being a plantaholic this is temptation in the extreme. I am going buy Fish Blood and Bone for the Borders and get a few canes for the sweet peas. Yviestevie, just take enough cash for what you want and leave chequebook and cards at home!
Oh that would be too easy BL. I feel I need to test myself
