    Thinking of you this morning,Verdun.

OH has gone for another blood sugar test. Hes better than me at sticking to the diet. I had fish n chips in Nottingham yesterday. Only because that was what mum fancied.image. We went to get her new swimming costumes, she is going to Tenerife for a week with my sisters at half term.

Mother in laws house was sold  last Monday. Of course on Saturday when we went to check, the garage was still full of sister in laws stuff. Brother in law was going to pay someone 350quid to clear it on Sunday. They have only had a years notice. image

As its all their rubbish, OH made it clear that the cost of clearing it wasn't coming out of the estate. They have had free use of a lockup for the last seven years.  Three trips to the tip and a few adverts on gumtree and freecycle, and its all gone.

Fidget I hope OH's tests show improvement and your mum has a lovely holiday. Do you fancy clearing my mum's garage out image and the two unused bedrooms and a shed image I've been slowly working through the loved possessions that she hasn't used or seen for donkey's. Sister got sent home with a bag of her dolls that I found, she's 45 yrs old.

Morning all. -3°. Sleet when I fed the horses.
Going out for some bits and pieces, like ink for the printer.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

The annoying thing was, most of the stuff would have gone into a dustbin. As she has had access to two sets of bins, 10minutes once a week would have cleared almost everything. But she sticks her head in the sand, ignores it until the last minute, and then expects someone else to sort it. OH had to unplumb the washer, of course we hadn't taken any tools, so we had to go to b and q to buy some.

My brother is sorting my dads garage, one carboot full at a time. There is now room for a pallet of compost in there, and the workbench is being converted to a potting bench. My dad had a bit of a hoarding gene too.  When my brother takes the train set layout up to my sisters for her grandchildren, the half size snooker table is going to go, and mum is going to convert the front bedroom into a room where she can sit and read in the mornings. Does anyone want a set of blizzards books of woodworking projects? Also half a dozen ancient lawnmowers?

    Morning all.

My thoughts are with you Verdun. If most of us had been half as good sons as you have we would have been very proud.

Felt a real fool this morning, sat in traffic for an hour to get to hospital, for OP appointment, only to be told it was on 5th March.

Much milder today, but still no sign of snow melting.

Morning fellow forkers,  had an unexpected lie in today.  Have only just woke up and that was because a delivery man rang the bell.  Now I have a headache.  I think I'm going to set the alarm clock tomorrow.

Hope Verdun's OK today. Will be thinking of him.

KEF, mums really well at the moment, think you may have got me mixed up with Liri, her mums been poorly I think.

DD can't work out if you have a will of iron or if you are just plain crackers.  Running.  At Night.  In freezing temperatures.  B~RRRRR.   No way Jose as my grandaughter would say.

Hope you enjoyed the comedian Dove, can't say I've heard of him.  One of my favourites is canadian Tom Stade, his sketch re 'Meat Van Man' is hysterical, especially if you hail from the Black Country.   Bekkie check it out on YouTube if you haven't heard it.  I'd put a link if I was clever like Dove.

Just going to have a cuppa.  Catch up with you all later.
