Car had new spring, new linkages??? and wheel realignment.
Seems to run better. They forgot to do the MOT and service, as it wasn't really due til next month anyway, I'll take it back next month. Financial pain split up.
Not happy, mechanic arrived at 12:30 (not my idea of morning), disappeared at 15:30 to "just got to pop dog to the vets", car half finished, bonnet still open, something (??? ) plugged into it and now it's dark & I really don't see him coming back tonight. He is a lovely man, but really no sense of urgency, it has been over two weeks now 'waiting for a part' & now this.
Hope your's is not too pricy Fidget and you get better service than me.
Love Hairy Dieters Cookbook, I am toying with a carrot cake or lemon drizzle cupcakes for BL's visit on Friday, all very healthy they say. Not a doughnut fan, but plenty of other vices and tbh wouldn't refuse one if offered.
Verdun, glad your day went ok, I think you must be a lovely person to have so many people telling you their woes, obviously a very approachable chap, as much as you would have us think otherwise with your haggling & terrible jokes.

Were you asking DD? Love carrot cake, please. But if it snows or is too icy we'll have to postpone. OH's choir was cancelled tonight because of risk of snow, but it hasn't snowed.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Mmm the hospital saga continues. They have written to me at my mums address, asking me for my comments on dads care, as they say I am next of kin. Wrong. I am not next of kin, mum was, but as she says, they only ignored her anyway.
Oh dear Fidget! ((hugs)) Well, look on the bright side - at least you won't be wasting good gardening time when you're writing a stinging reposte to them!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Evening everyone, Back home now and absolutely shattered. Thanks for all the teething suggestions. We did use bonjela last night, but it does wear off quite quickly. The 'little angel' slept for 2 hours this morning and took her calpol like it was the best thing she had ever tasted, typical.
Very excited, Liquid Amber 'Slender Silhouette' arrived today, hopefully I'll get it planted tomorrow. I'm feeling so lucky that we have missed the snow, hope those in the east of the country are staying warm and cosy.
With everyone talking about donuts and carrot cake I'm really fancying something sweet now.

Like you say Fidget, at least it beaks up the cost a little!
Verdun must be a good listener..hes always got his mouth full of cake!
Evening all.
Been a lovely sunny day here, but never got above freezing.
No chance of gardening, so had a nice walk in the woods. The birds were very active, which made me think about Spring.
Better get off and cook, doing something with chorizo and chicken, just not sure quite what.

Someone chuck some donuts my way! I'm in need of some comfort food after today.
No donuts here Podd, but you can have a bit bowl of pea and ham soup - if that wouldn't be cannibalistic?

I feel a long letter coming on.
