Yvie , at that point I would have put on my shocked expression and shouted for the owner of that smelly dog to come and get him.and of course when the owner does not come forth I would have kindly offered to drag the offending dog away
Clari, Reggie might enjoy his baths our tess loved hers she was usually the last one in and would sit patiently at the side of the bath while we fought with the others to have a much needed bath! She would then jump in,sit there good as gold .
For the outside bath we used a large plastic tub originally from a bakery. It had been one for getting the bread from one end of he bake house to the other. We used similar when I worked in the sewing factory.but we took the wheels off!!
So might be a n idea to ask round.
Will Try to find the photos of our tess enjoying her bath .
It's so lovely to hear everyone talking about their beloved pets
Cats and dogs alike and cocktails. I grew up with black labs but have never felt the bond that I have with Flynn. He's a Yorkie Russell so completely new for me.
I did have a cat that followed me everywhere when I was a girl and the stories I could tell about the birds! We had a mated pair and when the boy bird Sammy had a stroke and died, the female Toto purposefully flew into the wall and broke her neck. And they say creatures don't have feelings
Night all, have been reading my book all evening by fire, OH & Charlie asleep. Have been really naughty & finished off my birthday chocs, but worse still have moved a replacement unopened box into position to hide the evidence. Just wasn't ready to share.

Hi folks! Had a lot of fun in the last half hour, reading back over your doggie/poo rolling/naughy step stories...
Never had a dog. Feel a bit ambivalent towards them as a species, having been bitten as a child, though I'm friends with individual dogs. But I'm never happier than when under a cat... which is every night at the moment, because our remaining moggy has become very clingy, and cries all night outside the bedroom door unless we let her in. She likes to spend most of the night with her face as close as possible to mine, so I frequently wake up with a furry form wrapped round my neck. Nice and warm in January, but I hope she settles a bit by summer!
Nothing to report on the gardening front. The ice-glazed snow lies like a shiny blanket over the garden... but the birds are very entertaining. I'm trying to identify a visitor to the fat cake which I saw only briefly from the back. Had it been summer I'd have said it was a redstart, because the outstanding feature was a russet coloured tail, but they aren't resident here. Hope it comes back and I get a better look! But in the meantime, the nuthatches, woodpeckers, long-tailed tits etc are providing plenty of interest.
Time for a hot water bottle I think. Keep warm, friends!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Sorry Panda, just joshing
Kef, I can remember You sending me to the naughty step a few times last year lol.

My OH loves boxers, he had one as a child. Apparently the dog never left his side.

Thought you were joshing Lily
Doesn't mean you can get off the step though

Just wasn't ready to share.
My stupid super-duper tablet keeps changing words behind my back so Flynn gets changed to Glynn every time
whilst Cockatiels got swapped to cocktails

I'm not thick and I'm not drunk either
DD, given the state of their tummies, I don't think they would have wanted to share!
Tigger is Tigger because he behaved like Tigger in Pooh Bear when he was very young, even though he isn't in the cat family.
Been watching recorded Mr. Selfridge.
